[Bug 1273225] Re: php5enmod - priority is not set by argument
I have reworked the whole php5{en,dis}mod thing and I don't really remember how I reimplemented it :), but the source code helps: get_priority() { local sapi=$1 local modname=$2 local source_ini=/etc/php5/mods-available/${modname}.ini module_ret=0 module_exists $modname || module_ret=$? if [ $module_ret -eq 0 ]; then priority=$(sed -ne s/^; priority=\([0-9]\+\)$/\\1/p $source_ini) [ -z $priority ] priority=20 echo $priority return 0 fi return $module_ret } So yes, the priority is not set from within the .ini. As for the documentation - patches are always welcome. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to php5 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1273225 Title: php5enmod - priority is not set by argument To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/php5/+bug/1273225/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1329254] [NEW] A VM does not become inactive during the reboot on saucy and later hosts
Public bug reported: On raring and prior hosts, VMs become inactive at one point during the first reboot after the installation But starting from saucy as host VMs do not become inactive during the reboot of preseeded installations but they do during the reboot after a manual installation. Basically, the attached script (temp.py) exits during a manual utopic dekstop installation on a trusty host but continues to loop during the first reboot for a preseeded install . i.e. libvirt.open(qemu:///system).lookupByName(desktop).isActive() becomes 0 at one point during the reboot after a manual install but not after a preseeded installation. This is causing issues like: https://bugs.launchpad.net/utah/+bug/1199349 in the smoke tests. I'm not entirely sure if this is really a bug, but this certainly is a change in behaviour in libvirt since saucy. ** Affects: libvirt (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: temp.py https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1329254/+attachment/4130223/+files/temp.py ** Description changed: On raring and prior hosts, VMs become inactive at one point during the first reboot after the installation But starting from saucy as host VMs do not become inactive during the reboot of preseeded installations but they do during the reboot after a manual installation. [Bug 1272857] Re: apache2 crashed with SIGSEGV in signal handler called()
Hello, I believe to have identified the problem and propose a fix (see attachment). The module has a global variable PGconn *pg_conn, which is a pointer to a PostgreSQL connection. The code determines if there is an active connection by checking if pg_conn is non-NULL. However, the connection is closed by calling PQfinish(pg_conn) without resetting pg_conn to NULL. The documentation of libpq says that PQfinish frees the memory used by the PGConn object. Hence, when Apache calls check_password the second time, the code falsely assumes (as pg_conn != NULL) that there is an active connection and tries to access the previously freed PGconn object, which results in a segmentation fault. The same problem applies to the pointer PGresult *pg_result, for which PQclear(pg_result) is called. My proposed solution consists in simply resetting pg_conn = NULL after each call of PQfinish(pg_conn) and resetting pg_result = NULL after each call of PQclear(pg_result). [Bug 1307614] Re: MAAS sometimes attempts to install to USB flash drive
Something we want to add to MAAS is the idea of recommissioning, i.e. when a node is released back to MAAS, it runs a cycle that does a bunch of things to get the machine ready to go out the door again. For example, reset BIOS settings, erase disks. Like commissioning, a MAAS admin would be able to configure their own scripts to run. With the existing commissioning stage and a new commissioning stage, we'd have an opportunity to run a site-specific find me the disk on which to put the OS script. This could set a pre-agreed disk label, e.g. OS or ROOT, that curtin could be modified to take notice of. More flexible than that is for curtin to grow the capability to run a site-specific fine me the disk script directly, but that would entail more work in MAAS to support it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to curtin in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1307614 Title: MAAS sometimes attempts to install to USB flash drive To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/maas/+bug/1307614/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1237364] Re: Commissioning with a Saucy image sets node status to Failed tests
I am having same problems but with Ubuntu 14.04 LTS - I have a Ubuntu MASS Server running on one node. It has two NICs. One NIC (eth1) is connected to our organization's network. The other NIC (eth0) is private network - to manage all the nodes in the cloud. I am running DHCP server on eth0. I am trying to add another node. It can PXE boot, get IP address, but cannot connect to external network and get packages. Can you provide details on how to resolve this? [Bug 1329177] Re: CONFIG_RANDOMIZE_BASE is not enabled in utopic kernel
Notes from IRC: You can either turn off CONFIG_HIBERNATE to gain it, or write patches to make those work together in some way. :) one idea I had that I haven't had time to see if it could work is to make kaslr disabled by default if CONFIG_HIBERNATE is enabled, and then if boot with kaslr on the kernel cmdline, hibernation would get disabled. (i.e. system owner could pick which of the two they wanted, and pre-kaslr behavior would remain distro default). if someone could write that, i would be very happy! :) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1329177 Title: CONFIG_RANDOMIZE_BASE is not enabled in utopic kernel To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1329177/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1329187] [NEW] The driver is not working except for setting the resoluton
Public bug reported: This driver installs without problem and after rebooting the resolution is okay. But the system is running on Gallium, (glxinfo), and glxgears (windowed) is taking up 140% cpu usage as shown in 'top'. If you follow the intel instructions to build the driver for kernel 3.1.0 in fedora 16, this is not the case. Glxgears runs with 6% cpu usage. This necessarily means that the driver package is not doing what it is supposed to do. The renderer shows in F16 as PVRSGX545, but in Ubuntu it is Gallium. After applying the same procedure in Ubuntu as in fedora, we get the resolution but AGAIN we meet with renderer 'Unknown', and Glxgears give 140% cpu use. ** Affects: cedarview-drm-drivers (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1329187 Title: The driver is not working except for setting the resoluton To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cedarview-drm-drivers/+bug/1329187/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1308511] Re: rotation of compound objects fails
I'm aware that you cannot rotate compounds which INCLUDE an object that cannot be rotated by arbitrary angles; this is probably what you refer to, but it is NOT the problem. The problem is that you CAN rotate the compound if it stands alone, but as soon as an object OUTSIDE this compound is drawn which cannot be rotated by arbitrary angles, rotation of the rotatable compound suddenly also fails. To me it looks as if a check goes wrong: Rotation should check whether the compound to be rotated contains a component which cannot be rotated by arbitrary angles. What happens is that somehow other objects outside the compound that should be rotated are checked on whether they are rotatable by arbitrary angles. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1308511 Title: rotation of compound objects fails To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfig/+bug/1308511/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 335858] Re: rpc.idmapd does not see LDAP users (nfs4 server)
I have this problem on every version of ubuntu to date. My setup are two kinds of systems (we have hundreds of these systems deployed). If we configure users with nfsv4 on systems with NIS (no kerberos. just a vanilla NIS implementation), idmapd works great. If we configure machines identically but instead of configuring NIS we configure for our LDAP server. nfsv4 gets uids of 4294967294 . debug output of idmapd shows it idle on the ldap configuration. Meanwhile getent shows all users appropriately and users can log into the server fine. So, in other words, coming from another angle where kerberos is not configured at all, we get a non-functioning nfs client on LDAP systems. This has been an unsolvable problem peventing us from retiring NIS for LDAP for 5 years. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/335858 Title: rpc.idmapd does not see LDAP users (nfs4 server) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nfs-utils/+bug/335858/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 335858] Re: rpc.idmapd does not see LDAP users (nfs4 server)
The previous comparison was to explain that the NFSv4 configurations are (pretty basic) working as expected, as they're identical on both systems, the only change is whether or not the server itself is getting users from LDAP or NIS, and both LDAP and NIS configurations are also working fine, as users can log in. create local files with the correct permissions, enter passwords, etc. The missing part is that idmapd does nothing when the underlying system is using ldap instead of nis or /etc/passwd.

[Bug 1329201] [NEW] Onboard graphics takes priority over card
Public bug reported: When I went to install ubuntu 14.04 on my new system (and tested 13.10 and 12.04), it seemed to be failing (black screen or flashing cursor). I did a few things, but ended up discovering that it was loading on the onboard video, not the card I was plugged into. In the BIOS, the Nvidia GTX750 was selected as default, for some reason, Ubuntu is not following this. Once I disabled the onboard card, everything worked as expected! This could be a headache for a lot of people, and I think it could be solved easily with an option of what video card is to be used (this would be done at the same place nomodeset is done, but not have to press any key to bring it up), or to be able to detect BIOS settings. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1329201 Title: Onboard graphics takes priority over card To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1329201/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1328586] Re: Synaptic is reading state information for a minute or so
Feedback from utopic i386 booted with systemd and logged as gnome-shell 3.12 - looks like an apt issue: switching from small packages list tabs in synaptic (installed or upgradable or new) is 'normal' but 'all' is freezing ~ 60s, same if switching from 'status' 'custom' or 'origin' in the bottom left pane. - so when there is too much packages to handle, we get a minute freeze so its related to built/use index as i see it: maybe libapt-pkg4.12 but there is no warning/error logged or from a terminal note: also need some guidance to perform a debugging before sending something usefull. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1328586 Title: Synaptic is reading state information for a minute or so To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-shell/+bug/1328586/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1329204] [NEW] Cellular operator name should be more visible
Public bug reported: The cellular operator name is currently well hidden, the necessary steps are - swipe down the indicator bar - select Network - [scroll down if there are many WiFi networks] - select Cellular settings ... - find the Carrier field at the bottom Tested with mako HW and image 79. This is problematic 1. for operator partners, as this simple string is their most important branding element in the daily use of a phone. 2. for phone users, as they want to know in which network they are registered (especially when roaming). Comparing to reference devices: - Most traditional phones always show this information in the home screen. - Android shows this information when swiping down the indicator bar. Any design change obviously would need to take Dual SIM requirements into account. ** Affects: indicator-network (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1329204 Title: Cellular operator name should be more visible To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-network/+bug/1329204/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1329201] Re: Onboard graphics takes priority over card
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. [Bug 1329227] [NEW] pg_createcluster crashes when a username or group is specified that contains digits
Public bug reported: pg_createcluster accepts options --user and --group to specify under which credentials a new database cluster should be created. According to the manual page, one may specify either a name or a UID/GID (as digits). The implementation, however, tests whether there is a digit in the given string, not whether the entire string consists of digits. This causes problems for me: I have a development system where each developer creates databases and such per ticket. Users and groups are created for this purpose, named ticketNNN where NNN is the number of the ticket that the developer has been given to implement or bug fix. But pg_createcluster does not like these user and group names, for example ticket123: it thinks I specified a UID/GID instead of a name, and does the wrong thing. It crashes later on when tries to use the string as a number. This is what it says on my Precise system specifically: Argument ticket123 isn't numeric in getpwuid at /usr/share/postgresql-common/PgCommon.pm line 790. Argument ticket123 isn't numeric in scalar assignment at /usr/share/postgresql-common/PgCommon.pm line 796. Argument ticket123 isn't numeric in numeric ne (!=) at /usr/share/postgresql-common/PgCommon.pm line 799. This is because the test on line 237 of pg_createcluster: $owneruid = (getpwnam $owneruid)[2] unless $owneruid =~ /\d+/; is testing the wrong thing. I think it should read: $owneruid = (getpwnam $owneruid)[2] unless $owneruid =~ /^\d+$/; The same happens a few lines down with the group name.
