[Bug 1283003] Re: [Bluetooth + 14.04] Bluetooth headsets are not working after last couple of updates
@Harmut (hesse-hsr) Thank you! I just tried your "hacking fix" and it works very nicely indeed :) . Now the bluetooth headset shows up fine in the sound settings panel and I can switch on A2DP profile; without problems. Incidently, I did not encounter the reported Blueman crash, which @Hartwig Kolbe reported. Hopefully Blueman developers will finally try to issue a permanent fix! Thanks again also to @David for his discovery of the failure root cause. - Colum -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1283003 Title: [Bluetooth + 14.04] Bluetooth headsets are not working after last couple of updates To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/blueman/+bug/1283003/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 172390]
> the current maintainer is not working on this Why?! 19 comments on a 9 year old bug and the maintainer is not interested to fix it? Is there a good reason for not fixing this bug? The argumentation above why kdm should change it's current behavior is completely reasonable to me. I think the only reason why not more people request this is that most KDE installations are single-user ones so most of the user don't run into this and simply don't notice this bug/feature lack. Well … I don't work at a (IT) company, I'm just a dentist with personal not being as fit as me in IT ;-) I'll have a look at the sources. Perhaps, I can fix it myself (although I don't code much Qt/C++/KDE). Anyways, this shouldn't be too hard to fix, should it? [Bug 1330172] [NEW] Unallocated space on one of two drives not offered for installation
Public bug reported: I am trying to install the Ubuntu Studion Utopic (14.10) Daily Build ISO (of a week or so ago) onto some spare space of my main PC to assist the Ubuntu Studio team. However, I never get offered the drive with the spare space (neither in the automatic calculation of installation options, nor in the "something else" manual partitioning). Here is a rough outline of my set up: - sda1-6 500GB Debian Testing - sda 7 500GB UNALLOCATED - sdb1-6 500GB Ubuntu 14.04 (my main working setup) - sdb 7 500GB Debian Wheezy Steps: 1. Boot into Ubuntu Studio 14.10 Daily Build Live DVD 2. Choose "install to disk" option 3. Select English, Click to get updates & non-free stuff, & continue 4. At the partitioning options screen, only sdb seems to be part of the calculation. Here is what is offered: - Reinstall Ubuntu 14.04 - Erase Ubuntu 14.04 - Erase whole disk - Something Else Sda is completely ignored, except that it is the default option for installing the bootloader (which is where it currently is). 5. Choose "something else" Only the partitions on sdb (and my sdc USB for backing up to) are visible, and there is no possibility of selecting sda. 6. Press Quit 7. In the Live Environment, run Gparted from the menu. It can see everything including the unallocated space on sda. 8. [Bug 1330171] [NEW] 4th slide become much bigger therefore some buttons become unvisible on following slides
Public bug reported: during install with xubuntu 14.10 daily build downloaded yesterday ( 20140614 ), the 4th slide become much bigger than the first three slides, on the following slides ( I don't remember really, maybe the 5th ) some buttons located on the lower right corner are not entirely visible on 10.2 inches ( netbook ) screen then you have to "guess" what's on those buttons. If back button is pressed the slides 3,2 and 1 appear now in a bigger window too ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.10 Package: ubiquity (not installed) ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.15.0-6.11-generic 3.15.0 Uname: Linux 3.15.0-6-generic i686 ApportVersion: 2.14.3-0ubuntu1 Architecture: i386 CurrentDesktop: XFCE Date: Sun Jun 15 12:36:26 2014 InstallationDate: Installed on 2014-06-14 (0 days ago) InstallationMedia: Xubuntu 14.10 "Utopic Unicorn" - Alpha i386 (20140614) SourcePackage: ubiquity UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 iso-testing utopic -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1330171 Title: 4th slide become much bigger therefore some buttons become unvisible on following slides To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1330171/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1288747] Re: [334] Parts of the UI randomly flicker when moving the mouse
As another data point, I too am experiencing system freezes sporadically. Similar time spans to John. I find that switching to vc1 with Ctrl-Alt-F1, and then switching back to X thaws the freeze. When I switch back to X from vc1, the screen is black, but once I open the dash, parts of the screen are redrawn again and the computer becomes usuable. This is a GTX 750 Ti. [Bug 1330161] [NEW] lightdm display freezes
Public bug reported: So, my guess is that the issue is with the display manager, but to be honest I'm not entirely sure. My issue is that sometimes the display freezes.
