If the default bundle file isn't adequate, you can specify an alternate file using the --cacert option. If this HTTPS server uses a certificate signed by a CA represented in the bundle, the certificate verification probably failed due to a problem with the certificate (it might be expired, or the name might not match the domain name in the URL). If you'd like to turn off curl's verification of the certificate, use the -k (or --insecure) option. ** Changed in: pollinate (Ubuntu Trusty) Status: In Progress = Fix Committed ** Changed in: pollinate (Ubuntu Utopic) Status: In Progress = Fix Committed ** Summary changed: - [SRU] ship new public key + [SRU] ship new public cert -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to pollinate in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1381359 Title: [SRU] ship new public cert To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pollinate/+bug/1381359/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 921208] Re: win7/x64 installer hangs on startup with 0x0000005d.
Alessandro: see comment #14. If somebody can confirm that Windows 7 works with TCG when using -cpu kvm64,+nx, I believe we can fix this in qemu64 soon, when we finally make TCG-qemu64 different from KVM-qemu64. [Bug 1381494] [NEW] Full backup may not back up all files on Samba share yet report success
Public bug reported: Due to a regression in smbclient apparently starting from version 3.6, not all files may be backed up by a BackupPC full backup. Yet BackupPC reports the backup as successful. The first NT_STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION error in a particular directory stops the backup for the given directory, so that subsequent files and subdirectories in that directory are not backed up. The processing will continue with the next same level or upper level directory. Depending on the order, some files and subdirectories may not be backed up. So for example, if a backup of a C$ share on a Windows host processes files in alphabetical order, and C$/pagefile.sys gives the NT_STATUS_SHARING_VIOLATION error, the C$/Program Files, C$/Users and C$/Windows among other directories will not be backed up. The backup is nevertheless shown as a full backup and not a partial one in the BackupPC user interface. Looking at the error log, the user can see NT_STATUS_SHARING_VIOLATION errors, but there is no indication that the rest of the directory was skipped because of this. And a typical Windows host will have a number of those errors just because of files that are in use. So it is not immediately obvious that a potentially large number of files were skipped. Only by browsing the resulting backup, or perhaps comparing backup and source sizes, can the user notice missing files. A subsequent incremental backup may actually back up more files, as it may exclude some of the ones with those errors. I actually came across this bug by seeing incrementals back up much more files than full backups. Incrementals get deleted after a week in the default configuration, leaving partial full backups. It is quite alarming to realize this bug may affect all users with the default packages and default configuration who are backing up Samba shares with locked files - practically any Windows target. This is probably related to this Samba bug: https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10605 That bug is tagged to Samba 3.6, but I have seen the same behaviour with Samba 4.1.6 in Trusty. The best way to see this is to run the backup command from the command line and see it die prematurely after the first error in the root of the share. A workaround to this issue is to downgrade smbclient to version 3.5. ** Affects: backuppc (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to backuppc in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1381494 Title: Full backup may not back up all files on Samba share yet report success To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/backuppc/+bug/1381494/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1381564] Re: pyparsing ParseResults.pop() fails with NameError: global name 'index' is not defined
Thanks. Looks like 2.0.3 is tagged upstream but not yet released. It would be easiest to fix this in Debian and then sync (looks like a bugfix only release, with test suite additions, so it seems pretty safe). But to make Utopic before release, we need to cherry-pick the fix, or pull in 2.0.3 from svn or something. This would be better than having to do an SRU after release though. I don't have upload permission and it sounds like you don't need this fixed in Utopic so I'll leave it for now. Please shout if you do need this in Utopic though. ** Changed in: pyparsing (Ubuntu) Status: New = Triaged ** Changed in: pyparsing (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to pyparsing in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1381564 Title: pyparsing ParseResults.pop() fails with NameError: global name 'index' is not defined To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pyparsing/+bug/1381564/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 505278] Re: ssh-add -D deleting all identities does not work. Also, why are all identities auto-added?
This isn't a bug, it's a feature. Read the gnome-keyring website carefully, https://wiki.gnome.org/Projects/GnomeKeyring/Ssh [quote] This assumes some familiarity with the ssh-add command. See its man page for more info. You can use ssh-add to manually add keys for use in the SSH agent. These will be in addition to the automatically loaded keys. The ssh-add -D will remove any keys you've added manually. The ssh-add -D will lock any automatically loaded keys. ssh-add -l and ssh-add -L will always list automatically loaded keys. [/quote] This is exactly what happens in 14.04; automatically loaded keys get locked, manually added keys get removed from the agent. Automatically loaded keys are: [quote] The SSH agent automatically loads files in ~/.ssh which have corresponding *.pub paired files. Additional SSH keys can be manually loaded and managed via the ssh-add command. [/quote] On a side note, it seems 14.04 also starts the openssh 'ssh-agent' automatically, so effectively running two agents by default (is this intentional?). Ssh-agent stores its socket in /tmp. [Bug 1374481] Re: Nearby and News scope do not load on reboot
that said ^, I've just done a few reboots with nearby and news favourited (installed from latest lp:~hanloon-team/hanloon/clicks). When I reboot, the news scope works just fine every time. The strange one is the nearby scope. When the nearby scope finishes surfacing, all child scopes show up but, other than weather, they all show No Location found (which is weird because the weather results are location specific and correct). Then when I trigger another surfacing (add and remove a character in the search), the nearby scope then only shows me results from weather and nearby wikipedia articles, and this time the wikipedia results are location specific and correct. Every surfacing from then on do the same. I assume that since this bug was reported we've been through a number of updates and hence shifted from issue to issue. Ok, a further discovery. If I don't have the nearby scope favourited then reboot. Opening the nearby scope from the Dash Manager works perfectly.
