[Bug 1408252] [NEW] Images cropped when exported to pdf
Public bug reported: Images are being cropped when they are exported to pdf from texmacs. It used to work fine last time I used it a while back and now it is hosed. To reproduce: Insert an image into a texmacs document(style=article). File-Export-pdf Open the pdf in acrobat or evince and behole 25% of your image is now missing. I've tried resizing the images, various different formats, specifying the width and height, enclosing it in a figure box, etc. Something is going on in the export. [Bug 1240198] Re: [SRU]Wrong keyboard layout active after booting into desktop
It has reappeared again today, I checked and the system settings advised me that it was not completely installed which is very odd since I always do the install whenever I update an install (back in April last year) and running it downloaded one dictionary but reinstalled several that were not downloaded but must have been on the system. This didn't change the keyboard layout until I selected it from the option on the top bar. I'm not sure why the language selection should have been affected though I didn't reboot after resetting my layout choice. [Bug 1274320] Re: Error: diskfilter writes are not supported
I think there is a better solution (involving disabling recordfail in the affected cases, which is LVM for me). I believe that the correct thing to use to check for LVM or RAID is grub-probe's abstraction target. This returns a list of possible abstractions below the filesystem level (or an empty string if there are none). For instance, on a system with just LVM here (hardware RAID is transparent to the system), it returns that: # grub-probe --target=abstraction /boot/ lvm On an older system with mdadm RAID1 and boot outside of LVM, it returns this: # grub-probe --target=abstraction /boot raid mdraid1x grub-probe --target=abstraction / raid mdraid1x lvm Also note that older versions of grub-probe output an additional space at the end of the list if the list is non-empty, so mind that when parsing the output. There's no such superfluous space on trusty, tho. So what I do is check the list for possible candidates that would fail with recordfail. In my case, this is just lvm and I don't have a system here to test it with md RAID in practice, but I guess you would just need to extend the for i in x y z list with raid. The reason while the case statement inside the for loop looks as bit convoluted is that you could find the culprit at 4 possible places: making up the whole list, just at the beginning of the list, just at the end of the list or somewhere in the middle of the list. ** Patch added: Patch to /etc/grub.d/00_header to account for /boot on LVM https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/1274320/+attachment/4293379/+files/grub_00_header.patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1274320 Title: Error: diskfilter writes are not supported To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/grub/+bug/1274320/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1403906] Re: thumbnailer crash when reading metadata
I have been able to reproduce this finally with the following steps: - flash krillin (--bootstrap) with vivid-proposed - put the broken image in ~/Pictures - start Gallery - if not crash, close Gallery, rm -rf .cache/com.ubuntu.gallery/ and go back to previous step After a few tries it crashes. If you install the new packages from silo 19 (as mentioned in the linked branch MR) I can't make the crash happen any more. One thing that I did encounter was that when I click on the image in gallery, it comes up fully black. The thumbnail looks correct, though. However as far as I understand it Gallery should not use thumbnailer for displaying full sized images. If that is the case then this is an issue somewhere else. Florian, Bill: since you two seem to be the hardest hit by this bug could you test silo 19? If it works for you then post your results here so we can get this one landed. [Bug 1313134] Re: listitem: itemRemoved should be triggered before the listItem hiding animation.
If you destroy the item before the animation would complete, you would not see any animation, right? That's why - even the new ListItem - triggers the actions only after the snap animation is completed. OTOH, the deletion animation should not be part of the ListItem, but whould be implemented with ListView's removeDisplaced transition, a big mistake what has been done with the current ListItems. And in fact, the ListItems should not bother ever whether the item was deleted from model or not. I'd suggest to switch to the new ListItem as soon as your application reaches Vivid. We might also port few existing ListItem components to use the new one, if possible with any API breaks. [Bug 1408021] Re: Trying to type into the address bar during page load results in appending instead of replacing
I am able to reproduce the issue even when on wifi (even though a fast connection makes the race condition harder to trigger). It seems this issue happens only at the very beginning of a page load: tapping on the address bar to focus it a bit later (while the page is still loading) doesn’t exhibit the problem. ** Changed in: webbrowser-app (Ubuntu) Status: New = Confirmed ** Also affects: webbrowser-app Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: webbrowser-app Status: New = Confirmed ** Changed in: webbrowser-app Importance: Undecided = Medium -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1408021 Title: Trying to type into the address bar during page load results in appending instead of replacing To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/webbrowser-app/+bug/1408021/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1408263] [NEW] Edge gestures still get lost
Public bug reported: There are still cases where edge gestures are lost. Over the christmas holidays It happened about 5 times to me (in 2 weeks). Only way to recover is to reboot the phone. It always happened while the phone was in my pocket. When pulling it out of the pocket the edge gestures (launcher and right edge) were gone. This is most likely related to random taps on the screen, maybe in combination with the display toggling on/off. Haven't found a way yet to manually trigger it. [Bug 1336555] Re: ovs-vswitchd crashed with SIGSEGV in nl_attr_get_size()
Upstream references: http://openvswitch.org/pipermail/discuss/2014-December/015931.html http://openvswitch.org/pipermail/discuss/2014-October/015360.html Plus comment from Ben (upstream developer): This backtrace doesn't quite add up. We can see from frames 4 and 3 that we've got a nonnull 'key', which becomes a nonnull nlattr 'a' in frame 2. Along the same chain, we have a null 'mask' that becomes a null 'ma'. I often don't trust GDB to give me correct arguments in backtraces but all of that adds up nicely so I tend to believe it. Take a look at the code for format_odp_key_attr(). It always dereferences 'a' to get its type 'attr': enum ovs_key_attr attr = nl_attr_type(a); A few lines later we can see 'is_exact' getting set to true (since 'ma' is NULL): bool is_exact; is_exact = ma ? odp_mask_attr_is_exact(ma) : true; We're evidently hitting the default case in the switch statement given the line number cited in the backtrace, which runs this code: case OVS_KEY_ATTR_UNSPEC: case __OVS_KEY_ATTR_MAX: default: format_generic_odp_key(a, ds); if (!is_exact) { ds_put_char(ds, '/'); format_generic_odp_key(ma, ds); line 1332 } break; but that doesn't make sense--we should never get there, because is_exact is true.
[Bug 1408239] [NEW] refactor GRil incoming bytes dispatching mechanism
Public bug reported: GRil reads incoming bytes into ril_msg structure in function `read_fixed_record` in gril/gril.c. It's mostly working except it makes some assumptions that are not always true. 1. The `read_fixed_record` function calls `memmove` to copy data from ring_buffer, which follows that the whole parcel must not be wrapped. This is usually true because whenever a parcel is read, the ring_buffer rewind its in/out position markers to the beginning. However, if somehow rild transmits massive amount of parcels, or due to various reasons that the gio thread is not waked up in time and a lot of incoming data queued in kernel, then a parcel that spans across the boundary becomes very likely. This is actually the question raised in the comment: /* TODO: need to better understand how wrap works! */ With https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ofono/+bug/1408228, the GrilIO part is immune from this problem but the `read_fixed_record` is still affected. 2. One should really avoid using ring_buffer APIs that involve its internal states. Ring buffer wrapping should not be a concern to other components whenever possible. ** Affects: ofono (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1408239 Title: refactor GRil incoming bytes dispatching mechanism To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ofono/+bug/1408239/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1407709] Re: Google Maps and Here Maps should respond to map urls
Marked invalid for webbrowser-app as this should be handled by individual apps (they need to expose custom URL scheme handlers). Note that I’m unsure whether we already have a mechanism in place to allow webapps that use the webapp-container to expose their custom scheme handlers (and whether intent:// links can be handled separately by different apps depending on the android package they are targetted at). ** Summary changed: - Google Maps and Here Maps should respond to map urls + Google Maps and Here Maps should handle custom intent:// URLs -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1407709 Title: Google Maps and Here Maps should handle custom intent:// URLs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/webapps-core/+bug/1407709/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
