Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1453429/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. [Bug 1448656] Re: systemd doesn't allow proper shutdown after it encountered errornous .service
The failure can be triggered by adding a comment at the end of a line (which seems to produce an invalid `systemd` unit) depending on the binary passed to `ExecStart`. For example `tracd` of the `trac` isssue tracker never returns if a comment is added at the end of the `ExecStart` line, but it's hard to make `systemd` responsible for that. [Bug 1027257] Re: Wrong configuration values
** Description changed: I'm using Ubuntu 12.10 dev with pcmanfm 1.0~rc1-0ubuntu1. The default configuration file ~/.config/pcmanfm/LXDE/pcmanfm.conf contains 2 bad values. In [config] su_cmd=gksu '%s' will cause problems if a directory which contains spaces is opened as root (it don't open then). The solution is to remove the single quotes. [Bug 1027257] Re: Wrong configuration values
Okay, if I take an Ubuntu installation and apt-get install lxde (NOT lubuntu-desktop), I can find these values in the file you mention. Since I had to install lxde to find the file you mentioned, I wonder if pcmanfm is the right package for this bug. But is there any malfunction caused by this bug? My desktop seems perfectly functional. And since PCManFM no longer offers the option to open as root, the potential malfunction you mention with the su_cmd=gksu '%s' is most likely moot. Since this bug appears to have no effect and the configuration - Ubuntu + LXDE, but not Lubuntu - is uncommon, it is my recommendation that this be given a low priority. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1027257 Title: Wrong configuration values To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/pcmanfm/+bug/1027257/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Francois Thirioux, could you please test the latest upstream kernel available from the very top line at the top of the page (the release names are irrelevant for testing, and please do not test the daily folder) following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds ? It will allow additional upstream developers to examine the issue. If the test did not allow you to test to the issue (ex. you couldn't boot into the OS) please make a comment in your report about this, and continue to test the next most recent kernel version until you can test to the issue. Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please comment on which kernel version specifically you tested. [Bug 1453467] [NEW] Upper right corner of maximized windows do not accept clicks
Public bug reported: Ubuntu MATE 15.04 compiz 0.9.12.1+15.04+20150410.1-0ubuntu1 When a window is maximized, clicking in the very upper right corner should register as a click on the title bar (and, depending on the theme, the close button), allowing you to whip your mouse to the corner without needing to aim for the close button. Instead, the click gets sent to either: - the window that is maximized on the next workspace to the right, or - the Desktop, if there is no maximized window on the next workspace. Steps to reproduce: 1. If you have a panel at the top of the screen, remove it. 2. Minimize or close all windows. 2. Open a terminal and maximize it. 3. Run xwininfo. 4. Click the very top right corner of the screen. Expected result: xwininfo returns information about the maximized terminal window Actual result: xwininfo returns information about the Desktop window. If there's any more info I can provide, please let me know. It's quite annoying to need to aim for the tiny close button instead of the infinitely large corner of the screen, especially with a touchpad. The Window Decorator plugin is enabled, using /usr/bin/gtk-window- decorator. I tried switching to Emerald and got the same results. ** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1453467 Title: Upper right corner of maximized windows do not accept clicks To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/1453467/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1451258] Re: the kde window manager close everytime I switch windows.
Oswaldo Junior, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. However, your crash report is missing. Please follow these instructions to have apport report a new bug about your crash that can be dealt with by the automatic retracer. First, execute at a terminal: cd /var/crash sudo rm * ; sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get -y upgrade sudo service apport start force_start=1 If you are running the Ubuntu Stable Release you might need to enable apport in /etc/default/apport and restart. Now reproduce the crash, then open your file manager, navigate to your /var/crash directory and open the crash report you wish to submit. If this fails you will have to open a terminal and file your report with 'ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash' where _my_crash_report.crash is the crash you would like to report. If you get an error that you aren't allowed to access this report you will have to file it with 'sudo ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash'. If you run the command against the crash report and a window pops up asking you to report this, but then never opens a new report, you would be affected by https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apport/+bug/994921 . In order to WORKAROUND this, one would need to open the following file via a command line: sudo nano /etc/apport/crashdb.conf and comment out the line: 'problem_types': ['Bug', 'Package'], by changing it to: # 'problem_types': ['Bug', 'Package'], Save, close, and try to file the crash report again via: ubuntu-bug /var/crash/_my_crash_report.crash I'm closing this bug report since the process outlined above will automatically open a new bug report which can then dealt with more efficiently. Please feel free to subscribe me to this new report. Also, please do not attach your crash report manually to this report and reopen it. Thank you for your understanding. [Bug 1453479] [NEW] Unable to mount Android Phone since upgrade from 14.10 to 15.04
Public bug reported: In Ubuntu 14.10 on my Dell Inspiron 14R I was able to mount my HTC One M7 (Android 5.0.2) out-of-the-box. I could browse the phone's content via Nautilus as if it were a flash drive. Now, since upgrading to Ubuntu 15.04, I am not able to mount the phone. When I plug it in via USB, I receive a pop-up window saying Unable to mount Android Phone (see attached screenshot). Nautilus will open and will display Android Phone in the navigation panel, but it does not display any content on the phone. I also tried creating a live DVD of 15.04 and launched Ubuntu that way. I was still unable to mount my Android phone. Nothing on the phone changed since I was able to mount it on 14.10, and USB Debugging is enabled. Please let me know if there are any logs or other information that will be useful in investigating this. I am submitting this as a bug because it was working in 14.10 but is no longer working in 15.04. -Jon ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 15.04 Package: unity-settings-daemon 15.04.1+15.04.20150408-0ubuntu1 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.19.0-16.16-generic 3.19.3 Uname: Linux 3.19.0-16-generic x86_64 ApportVersion: 2.17.2-0ubuntu1 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: Unity Date: Sat May 9 21:24:18 2015 ExecutablePath: /usr/lib/unity-settings-daemon/unity-fallback-mount-helper InstallationDate: Installed on 2013-04-28 (741 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 13.04 Raring Ringtail - Release amd64 (20130424) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_US PATH=(custom, no user) XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=set LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: unity-settings-daemon UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to vivid on 2015-04-25 (14 days ago) ** Affects: unity-settings-daemon (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 andoid apport-bug mount phone vivid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1453479 Title: Unable to mount Android Phone since upgrade from 14.10 to 15.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-settings-daemon/+bug/1453479/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
