You have been subscribed to a public bug: Hotplugged monitors are not detected under XMir until you log out/in again. You have been subscribed to a public bug: XMir's display buffer layout sometimes disagrees with that shown in xrandr/control-center. On a few occasions I have placed one monitor left-of or above/below the other using xrandr/control-center. [Bug 1462692] Re: /etc/init.d/screen-cleanup causes ordering cycle when package is removed
Axel: A local fix would be to not ship the /lib/systemd/system/screen- cleanup.service link in the deb, but create it in postinst and remove it in the postrm on purge. But perhaps this should be discussed on http://lists.alioth.debian.org /cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/pkg-systemd-maintainers first? This problem probably affects a handful of other packages. Maybe there is a really cheap way to determine that an init.d script is orphaned in that way so that the sysv-generator can ignore it. I can't think of any with the current information that we have on the system; this would at least need some additional help from dh_installinit/the maintainer scripts. [Bug 1463264] [NEW] When I lock ubuntu 14.04.2, all applications opened (complete session) crashed
Public bug reported: Freshly installed ubuntu 14.04.2 with full updates. When I lock my desktop session, desktop halts for a couple of seconds, then session is locked, but I am taken back to Login screen. When I login, than Lock is presented, and when I unlock by providing password, all my previous session is gone, all applications crashed/closed. Its like when I just logged in for the first time, but with a twist that even the applications that were setup to be opened on startup like Skype are not auto started after this issue happen. [skype does autostart on normal login, as its added in startup applications list] I expect normal lock and unlock experience, not logout experience when locking. Using fglrx or X.Org open source display driver gives same issue. I am using HP ProBook 450 G2. Same issue was happening on 14.04.1. Same issue is happening on all of our same modal laptops, so for sure its a bug somewhere. Let me know if anyone needs more information or logs etc. I will try my best to provide these details. [Bug 1460152] Re: apparmor cache not updated when apparmor.d rules change (breaks 15.04/stable - 15.04/edge updates)
Michael, I have a patch (well two actually), and they just need further review and testing. I also have a partial hashing patch that if needed could be finished in a few hours, and add native hashing (if we go this route we could make the hash selectable, so something fast like lookup3 could be selected for a given platform). ** Patch added: 0001-Use-mtime-instead-of-ctime-for-cache-file.patch https://bugs.launchpad.net/snappy/+bug/1460152/+attachment/4411426/+files/0001-Use-mtime-instead-of-ctime-for-cache-file.patch -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1460152 Title: apparmor cache not updated when apparmor.d rules change (breaks 15.04/stable - 15.04/edge updates) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/snappy/+bug/1460152/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1451815] Re: lists users multiple time when requiring user authentication
Indeed, I completely forgot about the sudo/admin groups. Indeed admin has been the one introduced by Ubuntu since the very beginning; later sudo was introduced by Debian, and Ubuntu moved to it. So admin can safely be dropped once all sudo users got moved into sudo. ** Changed in: policykit-1 (Ubuntu) Status: Incomplete = Triaged -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1451815 Title: lists users multiple time when requiring user authentication To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/policykit-1/+bug/1451815/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1460152] Re: apparmor cache not updated when apparmor.d rules change (breaks 15.04/stable - 15.04/edge updates)
@all I just verified that a 15.04/stable - 15.04/edge upgrade works and that the caches are regenerated. So the workaround works. @John I started with the mtime approach in my proof of concept patch. So if you guys are too busy I can try to expand it to cover the includes as well (it does not right now). Great to hear that we are close to nice and clean solution :) @Jamie Thanks for your feedback! I haven't considered the #includes, thats a gap in the patch indeed. ** Changed in: snappy/15.04 Status: In Progress = Fix Committed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1460152 Title: apparmor cache not updated when apparmor.d rules change (breaks 15.04/stable - 15.04/edge updates) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/snappy/+bug/1460152/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1462650] Re: Incorrect installation behaviour on multi-drive system
Ok. That works fine in the BIOS boot mode - I think there ought to be a warning though! I didn't expect that kind of behaviour - and was surprised by it. However, yesterday, I spent a long time experimenting with EFI install to my spare drive. The components of grub are installed to sdc, but sda holds the pointer to it in a specific sector. Out of five installs, only one of them would boot. All the rest gave the grub error (from sda boot) error - no such device - followed by a UUID. I assume that the UUID quoted is meant to be the UUID of the FAT32 EFI partition on sdc. I checked that, and it was not the same. If the BIOS boot is meant to be working as it does, I have to accept that, but the EFI boot system does seem to have a problem! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1462650 Title: Incorrect installation behaviour on multi-drive system To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1462650/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1462530] Re: multipath errors on vivid kernel?
At least this requires the output of multipath -ll and the iscsi setup. Apparently its supporting ALUA, so the targets may be on a real storage server but it would be better you would let us know instead of guessing. Are the errors seen on every boot or just the one time it did not boot? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1462530 Title: multipath errors on vivid kernel? [Bug 1354924] Re: Networkmanager does not autoconnect to wireless network
Today I managed to solve this problem: I had once deactivated the KDE Wallet subsystem. I enabled it again, restarted the system, and the network manager started connecting automatically again. However, I want the computer to connect without asking anything (I'm not always near it). But now it asks for my wallet password... I solved it by entering a blank password, but that's a workaround. I've always disabled the kde wallet subsystem without a problem. Problem solved, I want to share some thought about this issue.: I can't help but saying that I seriously can't believe that this bug is still present, with medium priority and assigned to nobody. If this bug was present in windows (and for a year!), everyone of us would be making jokes about it. A whole release came and gone without anybody interested in solving this. It's really unbelievable. Please don't tell me to upgrade because I use the computer for GPGPU and Plasma 5 breaks when installing nvidia proprietary drivers (so 15.04 isn't an option for me) and 14.04 *LTS* has another open bug that prevents it for being used for GPGPU with nvidia cards. So, I'm just thinking about changing OS. Not caring about bugs is a serious issue these last years in *Ubuntu. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1354924 Title: Networkmanager does not autoconnect to wireless network To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/1354924/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1462919] [NEW] kswapd pulls server down every 2 weeks.
Public bug reported: in 15.04 even when having plenty of RAM and swap kswpd uses lots of CPU and might bring the machine down to a crawl making is unable to access it over the network. I say might, because it's only a very clear feeling that I have. I do not know it for sure. Anyway the fact is that I have two server that once every 2 week ends up totally unaccessible from the network. They can be pinged though. Logging in locally takes a long time. [Bug 1462928] [NEW] Middle button emulation causes delay in click status recognition
Public bug reported: Using a mouse this problem started happening in the past week or 2 for me. When middle button emulation is ticked, if you drag the timeout slider to the longest time, release, and try to drag it back to the shortest time, the cursor will not click down until a second or 2 after you clicked down with your mouse, and the cursor will begin clicking where-ever the cursor was after that delay. It causes another problem which is the main problem for me: I keep the timeout setting to the shortest as that's all I need to click both buttons to simulate a middle click. However, when using left click and holding it down (e.g. to highlight text) it now sometimes 'glitches' and the system thinks I let go of the left mouse button even when I didn't. The same thing happens if I switch left and right click so I'm holding right mouse button drag in accessibility settings. This causes my highlight selection to get reset and start highlighting again from where it glitched. This glitching seems to be solved or at least non-apparent when I uncheck the 'use middle mouse button emulation' checkbox. I also notice sometimes the left mouse click doesn't work - it doesn't actually click. Configuration: I'm running Kubuntu 14.04 LTS 64bit Linux 3.16.0-38-generic #52~14.04.1-Ubuntu SMP gpointing-device-settings is at 1.5.1-6ubuntu2 same version for the past few months/year I have not changed the gpointing-device-settings package in the last few weeks, while I think this problem started occurring in the past week (in June), so it may be related to upstream package changes.
