[Bug 1473622] [NEW] File extension is always AIFF when exporting an audio track in every format
Public bug reported: I'm using Audacity 2.0.6 on Xubuntu 15.10, but I got the same problem on other ubuntu versions. When I want to export an audio track, e.g. in MP3, the file extension in the Name bar is always AIFF. I have to change it manually. If I cange the filetype from the menu, the file extension remains AIFF. This is not an important bug, but the file extension should change when changing file type. [Bug 1288593] Re: Please include SHA256 or SHA512 hashes on Ubuntu Hashes page
One thought after reading the discussions here and on ubuntu-doc: rather than maintaining a duplicate of SHA256SUMS{,.gpg} on the wiki, would it be possible to link to an ubuntu-maintained version that is protected by https? GPG-verifying the SHA256SUMs is great, however a user may not yet necessarily have a working gpg environment with a web of trust reaching to the ubuntu signing keys, whereas almost all platforms have an https- enabled browser and the ability to obtain a sha256sum program. This would protect against at least some attacks (like inserting a corrupted iso + SHA256SUMs into an unencrypted http stream). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1288593 Title: Please include SHA256 or SHA512 hashes on Ubuntu Hashes page To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-cdimage/+bug/1288593/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1473643] [NEW] Enable switching to full desktop sites
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1377033 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1377033 Public bug reported: Hello, this is more like a feature request. I've just noticed that on desktop Ubuntu Web Browser is now loading full desktop sites, which is great. I expect it is just a matter of changing useragents (although there may be more to it). On the other hand on my tablet it is still showing mobile sites - which you may want to change from time to time. I suppose the default behaviour on phones and tablets should be to load mobile sites as it is now but - could you please add a switcher in the menu to demand for full desktop version of websites? In addition it would be great to include a button in the bowser's settings so that browser would permanently ask for desktop sites if user wants it. On bigger devices that would certainly be relevant. (and on the other hand you may want to display a mobile version of any website on desktop for testing purposes so a vice versa would be great as well) What do you think? [Bug 1454950] Re: It needs to press touchpad hotkey twice to re-enable touchpad
Thanks, Franz, for investigating this issue. The mouse module tries to ensure that at least one pointing device is present at any time. This is reasonable, as some people might have problems navigating the UI with only a keyboard if they accidentally disable all pointing devices. However, the hardware button should still work and allow overriding that feature. Thus, I've attached a branch that only reenables the touchpad when a pointing device other than the touchpad itself was removed. I'd appreciate some testing, because I cannot reproduce this issue on my computer. Note that the touchpad will be reenabled after plugging and unplugging an external mouse or trackball. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1454950 Title: It needs to press touchpad hotkey twice to re-enable touchpad To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-settings-daemon/+bug/1454950/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1473655] [NEW] wl driver cause kernel oops
Public bug reported: As far as I can go in the log ie. 201504 when I installed vivid, I can find traces of kernel oops regarding wl driver. I never noticed it. Until recently when I got freeze, kernel panic (caps lock led blinking), when deactivating the BCM43142 wifi card in nm applet. Or that card failing to asociate to an AP. Or even no network traffic even though I am connected to the AP. So I began to believe of an hardware problem with the card until I found all these kernel oops. [Bug 1464994] Re: Low audio volume on Thinkpad Helix
Can you give me more detailed instructions on how to do this (report upstream, search in the registry)? I've searched preamp and pre-amp in the windows registry, but couldn't find anything.
