[Bug 1489379] Re: LTE: ISST:leeklp4 no mpath choices for install ubuntu 15.10
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1489379/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. [Bug 1489461] [NEW] Network Manager looses connection and refuses to reconnect
Public bug reported: Repetitively with new versions this issue arises: Network Manager looses the connection. The list of SSIDs and APs includes a subset of APs that were there before the disconnect. Reconnection results in a permanent connection establishing effort with no final success. Restarting the NetworkManager service does not bring up the missing SSIDs and APs nor does it allow to reconnect. Only a reboot remedies this situation. Why is it repetitively: I haven't found the errors I previously reported on this edition but I did. [Bug 1481129] Re: System freeze when using Libre Office
Happened to me again, this time by opening a file with Calc and with the latest Kernel (3.19.0-27-generic #29~14.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Sun Aug 16 01:51:13 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux). I agree, but then it's not a bug in python-apt. It's really a bug caused by our old version of pip, which doesn't natively understand PEP 440 'arbitrary equality' clauses signified by the === marker. Even if you change python-apt's version number it's still possible that some other installed package will have a nonconforming version number. Upgrading pip to the latest version is an arduous process because of all the bureaucracy involved (and a bit of technical prerequisites), but in any case, with the help of the upstream maintainer, I did backport a workaround in pip 1.5.6-7 (seen in Ubuntu as 1.5.6-7ubuntu1). You'll need wily though. I did a sudo apt-get install -t wily python-apt to get 1.0.0~beta3.1ubuntu1 which is the version which is supposed to fix the problem. However, pip freeze still fails. `pip list` would also trigger the bug, but it should be fixed now, at least in unstable and wily. I have created OpenJDK 6 packages for Precise and Wily (should run on Vivid as well) with TLS 1.1 enabled by default and a OpenJDK 7 package for Wily with TLS 1.2 enabled by default as well. If you can, please test those and let me know the results. $ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tdaitx/openjdk See repo at https://launchpad.net/~tdaitx/+archive/ubuntu/openjdk As for RC4, it has been fully disabled upstream now [1,2,3,4]. In particular: * 8043200: Decrease the preference mode of RC4 in the enabled cipher suite list * 8050158: Introduce system property to maintain RC4 preference order * 8043201: Deprecate RC4 in SunJSSE provider * 8043202: Prohibit RC4 cipher suites In order to use RC4 it seems that you need to set the system property jdk.tls.preserveRC4CipherSuites to true and make sure the algorithm you want to use is listed under jdk.tls.legacyAlgorithms in the java.security file (for Ubuntu it will be at /etc/java-7-openjdk/security/java.security or /etc/java-6-openjdk/security/java.security). Algorithms in jdk.tls.legacyAlgorithms will be tried only after exhausting all other options. [Bug 1489489] [NEW] The org.freedesktop.DBus.GetConnectionAppArmorSecurityContext() method is deprecated

Instead, they decided to expose a peer's AppArmor context using the org.freedesktop.DBus.GetConnectionCredentials() bus method. All users of the GetConnectionAppArmorSecurityContext() method should switch to the GetConnectionCredentials() method as soon as possible so that Ubuntu can drop the patch that implements GetConnectionAppArmorSecurityContext() by the time 16.04 LTS is released.
