[Bug 1490243] [NEW] gallery app deleted wrong pictures
Public bug reported: This happened only once. I couldn't reproduce it. This is how it went: I edited the second to last picture (rotate). Then I rotated the third to last picture. On both occasions, I didn't save the changes but reverted to original (I guess, cant verify, because the pictures are gone). Then I deleted the last picture. After the delete dialog, this last picture was still shown. So I deleted it again. Still the picture was there. So I quit and returned to the picture browser. The two pictures (2nd and 3rd to last) were gone. Usecase from a Wily gnome-shell session: - want to print some pdf files - double click on the pdf to get it opened - select 'print' from the top right corner icon - a 'Print' diolog box opens, showing the active printer and 6 tabs to set the printing parameters. At that step, the user expect to find 'all' the relative data concerning that active printer: either a tab listing the job(s) queue (and opt-in options to deal with like system-config-printer do), or an icon to get 'system-config-printer' called (but its less userfriendly than a tab listing the jobs. So the problem here are: - there is not all the required info/data/settings viewable at once in the same place as expected - the 'system-config-printer' (which works fine) is not known/found easily, so the user ignore its existence, and then is disapointed with its problem(s). About HP-Toolbox settings: - Auto Refresh tab: 'Enable device auto refresh' active, 'Device to refresh' only the currently selected device - System Tray Icon tab: Hide when inactive, Messages to show: errors warnings There is a problem here: when the printer is powered on, the icon does not appear in the systray (like all other apps do) when the printer become active. I have the Dell XPS 13 2015 (Dev edition) and this annoying bug happends to me. I realize the problem only in Chrombe Beta (not in normal chrome) and appart of the mause problem I have the keyboard problem. Sometimes after press a key it continues like it was pressed until press another key. I disable and enabled the mouse panel in the unity control center and the problem goes away. The issue is fixed (from a 4 hour test I presume). The tested kernel was linux-4.2.0-994-generic. Open a page in firefox for example or some other document you'd like to print to a PDF. Ctrl+P to print. Select Print to file. Navigate to the place you would to save to, let's say this was /tmp/ for simplicity of demonstartion. Make sure there is a directory called /tmp/test.pdf (I know this is silly, but it actually happens quite often accidentally by how selecting a folder and file name are presented in these dialogs). Save the file now as test.pdf. You should receive a warning now that /tmp/test.pdf already exists (the directory) and whether you want to overwrite it. Choose Yes. [Bug 1490245] [NEW] usability issue when placing a call from today scope
Public bug reported: There are actually three issues: 1) When you hit the red Call Button, the call isn't placed, but the dialer app is startet and a number is copied to the dialer field. You have to hit the green Button. I guess this is annoying. The red button says Call not Start dialer. 2) When the call is done and you revert to the today scope, You are still in the Contact screen of the person you called. You have to hit the back button to call another favourite contact. Most (every!) time I called a person I am done with that contact. I don't need the contact details anymore. So after hitting Call it would be nice if the today scope would revert to the today main screen automatically. 3) You never see on which telephone number a person is called when you place the call from the favourites screen of the today scope. You don't see the number on the contacts screen, and the dialer app shows the name only.
