And some more details, by adding 'env QDBUS_DEBUG=1' to the unity8 upstart job, I'm getting a lot more detail without having to further modify the code. I'm seeing "Adding rule" log statements produced by QDBusConnectionPrivate, but no corresponding "Removing rule" logs, so sounds like my previous theory is on track ( ie. that reference counting may be the cause ). That said, I'll need to add some more logging and rebuild... [Bug 1516547] Re: Ubuntu 15.10 crashes with RAID-10
I'd like to perform a bisect to figure out what commit caused this regression. We need to identify the earliest kernel where the issue started happening as well as the latest kernel that did not have this issue. Can you test the following kernels and report back? We are looking for the first kernel version that exhibits this bug: 4.0 Final: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.0-vivid/ 4.1 Final: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.1-wily/ 4.2 Final: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.2-wily/ You don't have to test every kernel, just up until the kernel that first has this bug. [Bug 1516245] Re: Full URL of page not shown unless user clicks on it
This is a largely matter of personal preference and not a bug - if you look at other mobile browsers you'll see both approaches being used by different products, e.g. : - Opera Mobile Browser & - Safari Mobile Browser: Only host name is shown - Chrome Mobile Browser & Firefox Mobile Browser : As much as possible from the *beginning* of a URL is shown (so if a URL is longer than 14-20 characters, only part of the host portion of the URL is visible anyway). [Bug 1517538] [NEW] Crashes after exiting fullscreen
Public bug reported: I have noticed that recently upon going fullscreen in VLC on Ubuntu GNOME 15.10 with GNOME 3.18 that on most occasions when I exit fullscreen (even if I've only been in it for a few seconds) I get logged out of my user session (my computer automatically puts me in TTY2 for some reason at startup although there is another GUI session (not console) in TTY7) and get taken to the user session at TTY7 where I am met with the thing with the time on it that I have time slide up to log in, though it is a metal colour (and not the one I set it to for anything): Metal.png But it is not even as though my user session has simply been somehow moved there as that is actually a separate user session that asks me to log in and not to unlock my old session. And when I then go to TTY2, instead of finding my session, I find the console login screen of TTY2. So now I am basically unable to use fullscreen in VLC (it doesn't appear to happen when using anything else) because my session seems to get destroyed every time. And I am not sure if this is a bug with VLC or Xorg, so I thought I should report it under both, I am also not sure if it would just happen with VLC, but so far that has been the only fullscreen application to have this happen at the same time as it running. --- OS Information: No LSB modules are available.
