[Bug 1361940] Re: patches for cgo on arm64
So I started doing verification for this, found that the patches from bug 1361946 are required, brought them up to date, and then the arm64 node I was testing fell over. [Bug 1520343] Re: Qualcomm Atheros wireless card [168c:003e] (rev 32) not supported
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected xenial ** Description changed: I have recently installed Ubuntu 15.10 (64-bit) alongside Windows 10 on an Acer Aspire VN7-792G-76ZH and discovered, that the Qualcomm wireless card doesn't work. The card has the device id 168c:003e as many other cards, for example the Qualcomm Atheros Killer (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1383184), but it has a newer revision number (32) and the suggested fixes work only partially and the wireless is unusable. Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that there was an error on your system when trying to install a particular package. Please execute the following command, as it will clear your package cache, in a terminal: sudo apt-get clean Then try performing the update again. This will likely resolve your issue, but the failure could be caused by filesystem or memory corruption. So please also run a fsck on your filesystem(s) and a memory test. Thanks in advance! Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1520343/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. Because it's needed for things like the Android container on Ubuntu Touch, application containers on OpenWRT, ... There are legitimate use cases for those features, those use cases just never apply when running a full Linux distro inside the container :) LXC used to default to sharing the netns by default when no lxc.network entry was set, that was clearly bad design and we've fixed that (no defaulting to an empty netns), but if someone specifically sets lxc.network.type=none or passes --share-net 1, we give them exactly what they requested. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1520225 Title: lxc-stop powered off a server To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxc/+bug/1520225/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1520359] [NEW] Xorg freeze
Public bug reported: I don't actually know if it's an xorg issue, but since upgrading to 15.10 I've been experiencing a lot of random lockups. Nothing responds, can't restart X11 with ctrl-alt-backspace (I have that enabled) or switch to a terminal using ctrl-alt-f1 or etc. I end up having to reboot by holding the power button. I tried to send a bug report using apport-bug, so I hope the proper information is attached. Happy to help debug further, I haven't been able to find anything suspicious in /var/log/syslog so I don't know what to do further. Taglib 1.10 fixes this bug and a lot of other real life crashers. Imho it is worth to put a 1.10 to the default update repositories. This will improve stability of almost all media players. [Bug 1520369] [NEW] 3G not working when wifi is selected, even if no wifi available
Public bug reported: Hi I am using a Meizu MX4 with the OTA 8 update. If I try to select 3G "in the open" with no wifi signal (but wifi turned on) the phone doesn’t switch to 3G and stays on wifi. I understand that auto switching between 3G and wifi is a good thing and wifi should take priority, but if there is no wifi is available in the area then I would have thought the phone should switch to 3G when selected. Note, the old MX4 problem with wifi dropping out (from the same router) when moving around a building, and not reconnecting is still occurring with the OTA 8 update. This is not serious but very annoying. The only way to reconnect is to turn wifi off then back on again. If the phone knows it is connected to the internet, then looses connection, could you not just treat this in the same way as the first time it connected in the building. I guess the same idea could also help for the above 3G problem. In this case if wifi on, but no signal then 3G takes priority even if the wifi is on. Thanks for your hard work, love Ubuntu Touch and have also flashed a Nexus 4 to try some stuff of my own. [Bug 1520361] Re: D-link DWL-G132
To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1520361/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. This seems to happen about 90% of - the time, so it's reasonably easy to reproduce. + When I'm logged in, if I un-dock the laptop I get booted back out to the + login screen (i.e.- X crashes). This seems to happen about 90% of the + time, so it's reasonably easy to reproduce. In order to try and reproduce this, I installed the X server -dbg packages. However, with the -dbg packages installed I can't seem to reproduce this any more (possibly a race condition?). --- The Ubuntu Error Tracker has been receiving reports about a problem regarding xorg-server.
