[Bug 1517075] Re: dpdk-dev contains no makefile templates
SRU Justification (this and bug #1516543 where LP does not allow to add a Wily task): Impact: Packaging misses an install line which causes the upstream build environment (which dpdk-dev intends to provide) to fail. The other bug causes hugetlbfs to be mounted twice if the systemV compat init script is called manually. Fix: Add the required packaging to pick up the upstream makefiles and clean up the paths required in the init script (as well as the set paths to be on the safe side). Testcase: - Call "/etc/init.d/dpdk start" manually and check for duplicate mounts of /dev/hugepages. - Check whether dpdk-dev installs /usr/share/dpdk/mk. ** Patch added: "dpdk-1to1.1.debdiff" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dpdk/+bug/1517075/+attachment/4531432/+files/dpdk-1to1.1.debdiff -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1517075 Title: dpdk-dev contains no makefile templates To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dpdk/+bug/1517075/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

The difference is explained by the different toolkits, yes. [Bug 1471462] Re: On bootup smartd reports FailedReadSmartSelfTestLog but there is no hardware problem
It is possibly is a bug in the Intel X25 G1 firmware Intel did never fix (a similar bug in G2 was fixed). But I don't remember any related report since the G1 series was introduced in 2009(!). It is possibly not a smartmontools bug, except if the problem did not occur with older versions. Please test if '-F nologdir' changes anything. If not, test whether another problem occurs if '-l selftest' is not specified: Don't use '-a' in smartd.conf, use '-H -f -t -l error' instead. All that could be done in smartmontools is to add another -F ( --firmwarebug) option to suppress accesses to self-test log. If desired, please create a ticket upstream. But I'm not sure whether this enhancement is worth the (non-trivial) effort for a single SSD series introduced 6+ years ago. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to smartmontools in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1471462 Title: On bootup smartd reports FailedReadSmartSelfTestLog but there is no hardware problem To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/smartmontools/+bug/1471462/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1453538] Re: Invisible mouse pointer
I don't think it's a lightdm issue. I've been trying lxdm and the same issue happens there. Might be a kernel issue: I tried mainline kernel 4.3.0 from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/?C=N;O=D (v4.3-wily) and it works flawlessly. Could also be a subtle race and running a different kernel (or dumping boot messages on the console) alters the parameters enough to make it work. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1453538 Title: Invisible mouse pointer To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/lightdm/+bug/1453538/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
