[Bug 413878] Re: Keyboard config is not compatible with non qwerty keyboards

2016-01-12 Thread shankao
I suppose that "available to everyone" is a wide statement.

This anyway, is already configurable by editing the file .mednafen
/mednafen-09x.cfg and the setting:

;Configure buttons on virtual port 1
command.input_config1 keyboard 49+alt+shift

You can find the ASCII value for the key that you prefer by running the
command "showkey -a"

[Bug 1533479] [NEW] virtualbox-dkms 4.3.34-dfsg-1+deb8u1ubuntu1.14.04.1: virtualbox kernel module failed to build

2016-01-12 Thread Walter Lapchynski
Public bug reported:

Currently on i386, wanted to go multiarch and added the linux-generic-
lts-wily:amd64 package.

During this process, it was rebuilding dkms modules seems to have choked
on a syntax error when calling genksyms as part of compiling SUPDrv-
linux.o.

Upon reboot into the fresh kernel, virtualbox would not start, failing
with because /dev/vboxdrv did not exist. It was suggested I install
virtualbox-dkms and the right headers. I already had virtual-dkms
installed, so I opted to re-install it and then VirtualBox would boot.

I'm getting errors when trying to start VMs:

---
Result Code: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005)

---

---

The latter one appears separate from the first. It suggests running
'/etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup' but vboxdrv doesn't exist. Tried to purge
and reinstall but no change.

Oh, and I can't install virtualbox:amd64:

[Bug 1521245] Re: Kinect Device keeps on disconnecting and reconnecting every two seconds

2016-01-12 Thread Christopher M. Penalver
Shuhao, if the issue is confirmed on the latest mainline kernel (4.4)
then that is enough to mark it back to Confirmed as noted in
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1521245/comments/7
.

Given that you are having different results on different hardware, the
difference is due to either hardware failure, or the drivers are
different for the two sets of hardware, causing different outcomes for
the same device.

Please execute the following command only once, as it will automatically gather
debugging information, in a terminal:
apport-collect 1410152

When reporting bugs in the future please use apport by using 'ubuntu-

[Bug 1384468] Re: Error character set detection for Chinese

2016-01-12 Thread Michi Henning
I strongly suspect that this is due to incorrect tagging of the song in
the first place. I've attached a song that uses (what I think) are
Chinese characters. (Sorry, it might be Korean or Japanese, I cannot
read any of these languages.)

At any rate, the attached song works fine, and we haven't noticed any
problems with other songs that contain non-English characters. I suspect
that this may have been an issue in the past, but no longer is a
problem.

Please re-open if you still think there is an issue. Providing one or
two more sample songs would be useful too.

2016-01-12 Thread ken78724
@ 4 pm cst 1-12-16, Flicker err bug #1520583 rose its head. The PC's
screen again looked like a Venetian blind mangled by a wind.

It self corrected.

My clone P5GC-MX, BIOS 0314, bought 5/27/2007 with 1 tbit WD HD running
15.10 Wily

Eric @ EMAX COMPUTERS tested my hardware saying your PC is stable though
it's feasible your ? card may be weak.

I have too little experience or performance data to determine if Bug
#1520583 and/or Bug 1511158 have combined.???

[Bug 1267233] Re: media scanner doesn't scan mounted folders

2016-01-12 Thread Michi Henning
Marking this as "won't fix". There is no way for the user to create bind
mounts, and it is highly problematic trying to watch bind mounts with
inotify. Fixing this would be far more work than it is worth for an
extremely unlikely use case.

[Bug 1533419] Re: Opentyrian package does not come with cfg

2016-01-12 Thread Alexandre Detiste
The .cfg is generated on the fly; I would rather say; "game doesn't come with
data";
but there's a solution for that.

$ cat /usr/share/doc/opentyrian/README.Debian
opentyrian for Debian
-

This package only contains the opentyrian engine. The game data is non-free, but
can be downloaded free of charge.

To actually play the game, you need to install game-data-packager and run the
following command, which will download the data, build the tyrian-data debian
package, and install it.

game-data-packager -i tyrian

Or if you have a local copy:

game-data-packager -i tyrian /path/to/tyrian21.zip

For more information, please see the manual page for game-data-
packager(6).

Fabio M. Panico, this is okay. These are settings that can be

For me, it has id=13
2. Then enter 'xinput --set-prop 13 "libinput Tapping Enabled" 1'

I also have 'xinput set-prop 13 "libinput Click Method Enabled" 0 1'
More options: Check out ' man 4 libinput'

[Bug 1487916] Re: local music scope often shows incorrect artist image

2016-01-12 Thread Michi Henning
The scope works as well as it can with the information it picks up from
the image tags. Note that setting both artist *and* album in the ID3
tags *may* improve accuracy, depending on how 7digital disambiguates the
query behind the scenes.

In recent testing, we have not noticed any obvious problems with artist
art, so I'm closing this for now.

Feel free to re-open if you see this again. But, in that case, we need
detailed information, in particular, the *exact* values of the album and
artist tags in the affected files. (Best to attach the files rather than
transcribing the information. That way, we can analyse the entire set of
ID3 tags to figure out what might be happening.)

[Bug 1470250] Re: [Hyper-V] Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS Generation 2 SCSI Errors on VSS Based Backups

2016-01-12 Thread Dexuan Cui
Sorry, I was moved to another project so I couldn't debug the issue with
full-time.

Hi Joshua R. Poulson (jrp), can you please find more resource for this
bug?

My previous debugging made me think the root cause might be in the
storvsc driver code, but unluckily I'm not an expert in that area. :-(

Recently there are some storvsc fixes posted in LKML and some of them haven't
been accepted in the upstream kernel.
I think I can re-try the bug when all of the recent fixes are in the upstream
to see if the situation will change.

What is expected to happen in Draw via a terminal:
cd ~/Desktop && wget
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/138141/+attachment/2144240/+files/p0p1p2.odg

open the file > export to svg > open the svg in Draw and the two files
should look the same.

What happen instead is the text is gone in the p0p1p2.svg file. The
problem is that in the svg file the 'fill' attribute of the text is set
to 'none' while it should have the color of the text.

WORKAROUND: replace fill:none with fill:#00 in the xml code of the
svg file and text will be rendered black. Until bug is solved, users can
do this with a replace all command in a text editor.

Audio Opened.
Driver: Simple DirectMedia Layer output

[Bug 382531] Re: ZSNES crashes when window is unfocused externally (by aMSN, screensaver)

2016-01-12 Thread shankao
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all
reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since
that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some
of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently
supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly
upload the updated logs by running only once:
apport-collect 382531
and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
