[Bug 1473433] Re: Songkick doesn't show in music scope

2016-01-13 Thread Michi Henning
I cannot reproduce this with the current 335 image from rc-proposed. The
songkick scope appears just fine in the aggregator once it is installed.

I'm closing this as fixed. Please re-open if you think there is still a
problem.

[Bug 1492546] Re: Systemd runs ifdown on shutdown even when it shouldn't

2016-01-13 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package ifupdown - 0.8.8ubuntu1

---
ifupdown (0.8.8ubuntu1) xenial; urgency=medium

  * Merge with Debian unstable. Remaining Ubuntu changes:
- Always call dhclient with -1, Ubuntu carries a patch so that renewal
  won't time out.
- link.defn, tests/testbuild-linux: Disable upping of
bridges as it's not covering all the cases supported by the vlan and
bridge hooks and so causes more harm than good at this point.
  (LP: #1295304)
- debian/postinst: Bring back missing /etc/rcS.d/networking symlink, to
clean up after old broken upgrades. (LP: #1439109) Needs to be kept
  until after 16.04 LTS.
- ifup@.service, ifupdown-hotplug: Additionally run for "auto" class. We
don't really support "allow-hotplug" in Ubuntu at the moment, so we need
to deal with "auto" devices appearing after the "networking" init script
  already ran. (LP: #1374521)

ifupdown (0.8.8) unstable; urgency=medium

  [ Martin Pitt ]
  * Fix ifquery crash if interface state file does not exist yet.
(Closes: #810779, LP: #1532722)
  * ifup@.service: Avoid stopping on shutdown via stopping system-ifup.slice
(changed behaviour in systemd 228). (Closes: #761909, LP: #1492546)

  [ Guus Sliepen ]
  * Remove quotes around TimeoutStartSec parameter. Closes: #810656

ifupdown (0.8.7) unstable; urgency=medium

  * Impose a 5 minute timeout for starting network services.
Closes: #318577, #810656
  * Give an error when trying to up a dhcp interface when no DHCP client is
installed. Closes: #471926, #419139
  * Add a section in the manual about extensions provided by other packages.
Closes: #482405, #597274
  * Use absolute paths to binaries called by ifup/ifdown. Closes: #365114
  * Return an error when trying to ifup/ifdown/ifquery an unknown interface
(unless it is ignored due to --allow or --exclude).
  * Ignore SIGPIPE. Closes: #311054
  * Update the bridge example. Closes: #488315
  * Use the onlink option when adding a gateway route. Closes: #378506
  * Also allow the metric option for tunnels and IPv6 interfaces.

[Bug 1533561] [NEW] wording on first run of twinkle-console could be improved

2016-01-13 Thread Rolf Leggewie
Public bug reported:

twinkle relies on creating the configuration from the GUI. When
twinkle-console runs without any configuration present it outputs
"Critical: Cannot open file for reading:
/home/user/.twinkle/twinkle.cfg" The wording could be improved. It
should say something along the lines of "Copy a working configuration
from somewhere else or run the GUI at least once to create the
configuration file".

[Bug 1533317] Re: Address bar does not get focus when adding a new tab

2016-01-13 Thread Olivier Tilloy
Can you please specify exactly what setup you’re using? A Nexus 7
without additional input/output devices will not focus the address bar
of a new tab, that’s the expected behaviour. Have you plugged in an
external monitor to have unity8 running in windowed mode? If so then
indeed the address bar should get focus and currently doesn’t, but as I
wrote above it’s a bug in the "desktop mode" detection that is being
tracked separately.

[Bug 1532950] Re: Font size too big on phone, and display too tall with devicePixelRatio

2016-01-13 Thread Stefano Verzegnassi
My 2 cents. Would it make more sense to use the font size of a UITK
Label (textSize: Label.Medium) as a reference unit, and provide only a
setting for a multiplier of the resulting pixelSize?

That way the font size would be automatically adjusted according to
GRID_UNIT_PX or QT_DEVICE_PIXEL_RATIO variables, and it would behave
consistently with the rest of the platform.

[Bug 1492546] Re: Systemd runs ifdown on shutdown even when it shouldn't

2016-01-13 Thread Martin Pitt
Adjusting the Debian bug link, I discussed this on
https://bugs.debian.org/809166 already. ifupdown should *not* stop
"manual" interfaces with ifdown, unless you have an explicit "down"
action in /etc/network/interfaces. I assume this is not the case. It was
an explicit decision by the Debian maintainer (Guus) to not take these
"network file system" checks into the new .service, as this hides real
bugs and should really not be necessary.

So I take it the bug is now that "ifdown"ing a manual interface actually
"ifconfig down"s it?

Attaching the patch as well for reference, since this is a public bug

strictly necessary.

[Bug 1533554] [NEW] Duplicate package entries shown when listing by package origin

2016-01-13 Thread Francis Brown
Public bug reported:

Synaptic 0.83 (also was in 0.82.5 I believe)

- Ubuntu Xenial

What should happen:

Synaptic should as previously show a single item for each package when
viewing package list from a particular 'origin'.

What does happen:

For many packages up to 4 identical entries are shown for each package.
See attached screencap.

Duplicate list items are quite literally identical and are true
duplicates as they relate to the identical package in all respects,
including full version. In fact, so much so, that selecting one of a
duplicate for an operation such as install/upgrade/remove etc selects
and then operates on all the duplicate entries as well.

Same problem has been noted on a real machine and in VM running variants
of Xenial - Xubuntu/Kubuntu etc, with or with any ppas present on
system.

[Bug 1531517] Re: [regression] pinch to zoom not working reliably

2016-01-13 Thread Andreas Pokorny
Ah yes the android input transport is biting us again. We are still
bound to the limitation of that encoding. That encoding means - only one
down/up touch id per event. No matter what libinput reads or qtmir
sanitizes.. , as long as the transport from server to nested server or
from nested server to client chops of the information of every
additional down or up the gesture will break. I will keep the fix close
to the encoding so we can get rid of it easier...

[Bug 1508110] Re: Users tab doesn't work as expected

2016-01-13 Thread Free Ekanayaka
After debugging it seems the root of the problem is in the
landscape.monitor.usermonitor.UserMonitor._reset method which is called
upon resynchronization, but doesn't wait for a new session ID to be
available (the session ID is obtained asynchronously by the code in
landscape.broker.client.BrokerClientPlugin._resynchronize).

The regression was introduced in r705.

This patch fixes the issue:

https://pastebin.canonical.com/147521/

As far as I can see, this is the only plugin affected by this kind of
problem, so other plugins should be fine.

I installed Ubuntu-16.04(xenial) development version on Raven-1 and the BT
heaset works well with "HSP/HFP" mode.
The Bluz version is 5.36. So weird , the "HSP/HFP" shouldn't be supported in
Bluez 5.*.

[Bug 1492546] Re: Systemd runs ifdown on shutdown even when it shouldn't

2016-01-13 Thread Alkis Georgopoulos
Well...

This is *not* needed anymore, i.e. the current bug was solved:
# sed '/^ExecStop=/d' -i /lib/systemd/system/ifup@.service

Unfortunately now this is needed, i.e. the same bug appeared elsewhere:
# sed '/^ExecStop=/d' -i /lib/systemd/system/networking.service

The networking.service file now got an unconditional ifdown command:
$ grep ExecStop /lib/systemd/system/networking.service
ExecStop=/sbin/ifdown -a --read-environment

Wouldn't it be easier to create a small "careful-ifdown" script,
that borrows code from /etc/init/networking.conf, and have all the
.service and init files call that one instead?

Adding unity8 because this might not be just a media scope problem.

On the phone, the media scope doesn't support landscape mode, and I

Dave, if this is still there with the latest image, someone with a

[Bug 1533590] [NEW] X recognises no screens when external connected

2016-01-13 Thread Johan De Meersman
Public bug reported:

Note that I'm really running Mint 17.3; but I don't believe they change
the kernel packages, so this is still relevant here.

When an external screen is connected through the dock (both displayport
and displayport-to-dvi, on different docks), I get a message during
startup that the X server has not found any screens.

Simply turning the screen off (not even disconnecting it) lets the
system boot into the single laptop screen as per normal. When I turn on
(or reconnect) the screen, it isn't recognised, and not even seen as far
as syslog is concerned.

When not docked, the onboard displayport connection works as normal.

Yesterday everything was normal, the only relevant upgrade that happened
was from kernel 3.16.0-38.52 to 3.19.0-32.37.

I've rebooted into the previous kernel, and that works normally - so I
suspect a regression in the i915 driver or similar?

I'm also noticing these lines in there, that aren't shown with the old
kernel:

[ 8.553727] [drm:gen8_irq_handler [i915_bpo]] *ERROR* The master
control interrupt lied (SDE)!

Kernel 3.19 loads i915_bpo and spews the above errors; kernel 3.16 uses
i915 and does not. I cannot rmmod i915_bpo as it is in use even when no
X is active; and simply loading i915 on top does not help.

[Bug 1524216] Re: nova script: use image UUID

2016-01-13 Thread Launchpad Bug Tracker
This bug was fixed in the package autopkgtest - 3.19.1

---
autopkgtest (3.19.1) unstable; urgency=medium

  * adt-virt-qemu: If the executed command exits with 255, translate that to
253 in the auxverb wrapper, as 255 is the exit code for failures of the
auxverb itself. This avoids considering ordinary test failures as
temporary testbed failures. This makes the QEMU runner behave the same way
as the container ones.
  * tests/adt-run: Factorize common tests into superclasses.
  * doc/README.package-tests.rst: Point out that "Test-Command:" is also
useful for running the same test script under different interpreters or
different dependencies. (Closes: #809442)
  * Set summary_stream to None after closing it, to avoid trying to write
late error messages from cleanup into it.
  * Gracefully handle failure to kill a timed out process.
  * ssh-setup/nova: Use image UUID instead of its name for "nova boot". This
avoids failures if multiple images have the same name. (LP: #1524216)
  * adt-build-{lxc,lxd}: Run testbed setup scripts also if they are not
executable. Thanks Antonio Terceiro! (Closes: #809917)
  * setup-commands/setup-testbed: Run apt-get autoremove when builing images.
  * setup-commands/setup-testbed: Handle options in sources.list. Thanks
Antonio Terceiro!
  * tools/adt-build-lxd: Fix error message if apt does not have a proxy set.
  * setup-commands/setup-testbed: Install linux-headers-generic if there is no
kernel (for containers), to make DKMS tests work when not being triggered
by a kernel. (LP: #1531488)
  * tools/adt-build-lxc: Fix removal of LXC caches on btrfs.
  * tools/adt-build-lxc: Use "-B best" for lxc-create, for better performance
on btrfs or LVM.
  * tools/adt-build-lxc: Fix hostname for updating containers to not end in
".new".
  * adt-virt-lxc: Opportunistically try lxc-clone with "-B btrfs", and fall
back to default backing store if it fails. lxc-clone should do this by
itself, but currently doesn't (LP #1532125).
  * adt-virt-lxc: Don't fail on stderr of lxc-start, it sometimes prints
warnings.
  * When using --apt-source with --apt-pocket= with an explicit package list,
let apt-get source download the source version that matches the pinning.
This avoids running tests from -proposed against packages in -release.
(LP: #1517426)
  * setup-commands/setup-testbed: Don't purge perl and python2.7. This works
in sid and xenial, but is too greedy for older releases.

[Bug 1531488] Re: linux-headers missing in s390x containers

  * setup-commands/setup-testbed: Handle options in sources.list. Thanks
  * setup-commands/setup-testbed: Don't purge perl and python2.7. This works
in sid and xenial, but is too greedy for older releases.

Sometimes, my screen crashes and i see coloured stripes without my real

nothing happens, if i press keyboard or move mice.

It can happen after 5 minutes of usage, of after 3 hours of usage, i
don't know why. I use only firefox and surf internet pages.

I use Ubuntu 14.04 (Runtu modification) with all updates.
My videocard is internal GeForce 6150SE (it uses 128 mb of 2 gb RAM).
