[Bug 1543179] Re: image 242 no audio bt devices connect

2016-02-10 Thread Christopher Townsend
Any chance this is being looked at? I can confirm that BT audio is
busted on Mako using rc-proposed. In my use case, I have my phone
paired with my car and when I either dial a number or accept an incoming
call, the call is not heard over the speaker in the car. After this
happens, my phone usually reconnects with my car.

Thanks!

[Bug 1544115] [NEW] init.d script does not stop pluto daemon

2016-02-10 Thread Whit Blauvelt
Public bug reported:

Running "/etc/init.d/ipsec stop" leaves the pluto daemon running, so IKE
negotiations continue if the other end is up. This results in a confused
connection if, for instance, the purpose of stopping it is to switch the
tunnel to a different interface and ISP line with a common peer on the
far side, as pluto keeps the peer engaged. The expected behavior, when
stopping ipsec, is that all components that it started, it should stop.

[Bug 1523573] Re: Doesn't let you share several images

2016-02-10 Thread Bill Filler
@artmello, @uriboni
Please remove the restriction for single selection for sharing. But please test
sharing with messaging-app and make sure it doesn't break if you try to share
multiple photos. For now expected behavior of messaging-app would be to just
show first photo until we add support for sending multiple photos in that app.

[Bug 1517609] Re: Openjdk8 still has failing tests on ppc64el

2016-02-10 Thread Gustavo Romero
Currently - tag jdk9-b88, upstream: jdk9/jdk9 repo - many Hotspot tests
under compiler/rtm are failing. The immediate problem is that RTM,
although already implemented is not enabled for Linux in pppc64le.

To enable the following patch is proposed: http://goo.gl/5GHaQu

All tests under compiler/rtm/cli will pass plus a few others (total of
11 more passing): http://goo.gl/CiEMtX

[Bug 1544071] [NEW] Fullscreen is not fullscreen

2016-02-10 Thread COLABORATI
Public bug reported:

In Ubuntu Trusty I am using virt-manager to install a version of Ubuntu
16.04. Installation seems to be ok.

After clicking the fullscreen button, the window resizes to fullscreen,
but the virtual machine inside that window does not resize itself to
fullscreen at all, instead it stays in a smaller screensize. The maximum
screensize that I can select in the virtual machine is 1280*1024, but I
would like to have it 1920*1080 to be really fullscreen.

I can see no option to change this, it seems to be a bug.

[Bug 1543152] Re: nfs hangs after wakeup from hibernation, kernel 4.2.0-*

2016-02-10 Thread Seved Torstendahl
Actually I have misinterpreted the swedish terms, my system has been suspended
when I see the symptoms.
I have checked hibernation also, it seems to be the same problem. But
hibernation is not an option after inactivity.

I also wrote firefox when it really was thunderbird that I meant.

Further investigations show that it is automount that fails when :
1. a file is opened for writing on a nfs-mounted volume that autofs mounts
2. autofs unmount the nfs directory after five minutes of inactivity, AND
3. the system is automatically suspended after ten minutes of inactivity

After resuming activity it is impossible to access the volume on the
server

To reproduce:
cat > /path/to/file/on/automounted/nfs-dir/file.txt
write some text
wait for the system to suspend (setting in the power management, I chose
ten minutes)

Activate the system again and try to access the automounted volume

[Bug 1542696] Re: 16.04 LTS Xenial Xerus does not reboot properly

2016-02-10 Thread Martin Pitt
"please remove installation media and press ENTER" is only shown after
installation. I take it you did install Ubuntu and are now (re)booting
that, not the live system on the installation medium?

Please follow /usr/share/doc/systemd/README.Debian.gz "Debugging
boot/shutdown problems", and check "systemctl list-jobs" which unit is
hanging during shutdown. Please also capture the journal output, with
"journalctl > /root/journal.txt" and attach /root/journal.txt here.

Thanks!

My retest succeeded, so I'm re-marking this bug back to verification-needed
while I work on resolving why the test team's test is failing. Please stand by

Clock alarms overriding silent mode is default behavior in most phones.
That in itself seems like a good idea to keep that behavior.

[Bug 1535058] Re: applications close instantly when launched from the launcher or dash

2016-02-10 Thread kevin gunn
@serge a couple of things that could be preventing your login of unity8

1) Upgrade your system. Verify you have Mir 0.19.0 installed and then remove
some broken packages that _will_ make Unity8 crash:
  $ sudo apt-get remove mir-client-platform-mesa3 mir-client-platform-mesa2
mir-client-platform-mesa1
you should be on mir-client-platform-mesa4

2) Exercise your arm. We presently block for up to 30 seconds waiting for the
kernel entropy pool to get populated (which may not happen). After 30 seconds,
if it hasn't then Mir will give up and crash. Presently this is considered a
"security feature" but we're improving on it. The workaround is to move your
mouse around furiously both before and during the login process.

3) unity8 is supposed to be on vt8, but double check vt9 and see if
unity8 is there, for some reason, i see it on vt9 not vt8 - i discovered
on accident in frustration flipping between vts

4) this bug may also get you https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source
/clutter-gst-3.0/+bug/1525285 causes a deadlock

lastly, how to find unity8 login (which i've always found hard to explain in
words) for those that may want to try

[Bug 1532607] Re: Phone not usable while a call comes in - followed by "restart"

2016-02-10 Thread Alberto Aguirre
@Daniel,

The OP also reports a "restart", whose description match what would
happen if USC restarts... so we are going by our suspicion that it's
related to the failure to start the compositor threads. The error logs
in unity8 (USC's client) are irrelevant in that case.

[Bug 1068960] Re: crash when touch grab fails

2016-02-10 Thread Stephen M. Webb
Ran the attached test program and verified it was grabbing the touches,
but Compiz did not crash on startup or use. I'm closing this bug on the
assumption that the fix for #1080386 was also the solution for this bug.

[Bug 1510198] Re: Rebase/Reimplement Ubuntu changes upon Debian (possibly upstream them)

2016-02-10 Thread Gunnar Hjalmarsson
I don't think that hunspell-sv-se is a blocker for syncing from Debian.

Currently there are two versions of hunspell-sv-se in the Ubuntu
archive: The latest is built by libreoffice-dictionaries, but there is
also an old one built by the hunspell-sv source package. If we would
sync, both would be overridden by hunspell-sv, and that's what we want,
isn't it?

OTOH, libreoffice-dictionaries includes spellcheckers for both sv-se and
sv-fi, so we should change it in debian so it builds both hunspell-sv-se
and hunspell-sv-fi. But that can be done afterwards, if I understand it
correctly. Since I'm from Sweden, I'll be happy to help sorting out any
Swedish issues. ;)

It would be great if the sync with Debian could be done ASAP.

This should have been fixed years ago:) For me this happened because I
had extra files in my USB stick. With clean stick everything worked.

[Bug 1544094] [NEW] kworker 100% CPU usage on Xen PV (AWS)

2016-02-10 Thread Chad D
Public bug reported:

We have some build scripts that customize a released PV instance-store
image available on AWS, and build an AMI for our auto scaling group.
However, the latest AMI builds extremely slowly and can't be bundled.
It freezes up while trying to create the file to serve as the snapshot
of the system.

My investigation points to an issue with the kernel. If I boot ami-
990d24f3 [wily 20160204, amd64 PV instance-store] in us-east-1 and check
top, an obvious problem is already apparent. There's a kworker process
hogging CPU. I'm seeing about 150 each of timer interrupts and
hypervisor calls per second on the system in this case.

I've tried customizing an older AMI, but as part of the build, we
install the kernel update (from 4.2.0-25-generic) and the resulting
image exhibits the same high CPU usage due to kworker, which will
naturally fail our health check if it were to be released.

I have also checked the image's HVM sibling, ami-291d3443, which does
not exhibit the problem.

This is observed on `m3.medium` instances in VPC, in at least two
availability zones within the us-east-1 region.

Please let me know if you need additional information.

[Bug 1491657] Re: usb 1-1: ep 0x81 - rounding interval to 64 microframes, ep desc says 80 microframes

2016-02-10 Thread Colin Ian King
This is just a debug information message from the xHCI (Extensible Host
Controller Interface) host controller driver that caters for USB 1.x,
2.0 and 3.x compatible devices. The message is just indicating that it
has rounded an 80 microframe interval down to the nearest lower power of
two microframe interval of 64 frames. It is not a bug.

[Bug 1537057] Re: rhytembox-client --print-playing-format %te partially broken

2016-02-10 Thread Sebastien Bacher
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it
would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers
of the software by following the instructions at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/Upstream/GNOME. If you have done so, please
tell us the number of the upstream bug (or the link), so we can add a
bugwatch that will inform us about its status. Thanks in advance.
