[Bug 1564662] Re: Juju binaries should be stripped
I tried stripping my 1.6 based build, and it seems to be working. (Juju does reflection at init() time as part of some of the registries), so it seems safe to do. On the flip side it isn't amazingly better. It seems to be a bit less than 2:1. (73MB down to 40MB.) Almost certainly still worth it, just doesn't compensate for the 1:10 growth of the Juju binary itself over time. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1564662 Title: Juju binaries should be stripped To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/juju-core/+bug/1564662/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1566437] Re: Scrolling randomly stops working
The behavior you describe happens when the terminal switches to the so- called "alternate screen" upon encountering a certain escape sequence that is printed by your application. Usually fullscreen applications (such as the "mc" file manager, "less" pager, text editors etc.) use this mode. If it gets stuck in this mode at your shell prompt, it means that your application did not exit cleanly and left the terminal in this mode. Execute the "reset" command to get out of this situation. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1566437 Title: Scrolling randomly stops working To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-terminal/+bug/1566437/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1522261] Re: App Updates rarely download in China
Two points: 1. To both check for and to download updates, my phone should not have to communicate with any server outside China. It's just the reality here. Servers outside China may work from time to time, but if you're providing services to users inside China you have to assume they don't. If Ubuntu can't provide servers inside China, never mind. There's no point investigating something we know won't work. If Ubuntu can and does, then please verify (or give me instructions on how to verify) that the system automatically configures itself to use them. 2. The secondary problem is that the experience is still not good when it's unable to contact the servers. I tried it just now. It spins for a long time and then says "Connect to the Internet to check for updates". I'm connected to 4G right now. There should be a mechanism for sideloading updates from an SD card or something similar, because network failures of all kinds are a fact of life. So while I think it's interesting if other users in other cities (I'm in Chengdu) are equally affected by this problem, I just want to emphasise that it's not really the core issue I'm pointing to here. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1522261 Title: App Updates rarely download in China To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-devices-system-image/+bug/1522261/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

why not just dlopen libGL.so.1 I've mailed to the packager of nvidia driver in debian and got the answer: "pyqt should dlopen libGL.so.1". -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to python-qt4 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/941826 Title: dlopen(libGL.so) resolves to mesa rather than nvidia To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nvidia-drivers-ubuntu/+bug/941826/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
