Unfortunately I can reproduce the bug anymore, after installing 4.7rc2 the devices appeared in my system but strangely the order was changed, so sda was the removable disk and sdb the fixed drive, I did an dd to sdb (to create a bootable pendrive) and screwed my system. [Bug 1589644] Re: Please backport biber 2.4-1 (main) from debian/snapshot
Subscribing ubuntu-bugcontrol and requesting to nominate this bug for xenial release. ** Summary changed: - Please backport biber 2.4-1 (main) from debian/snapshot + [SRU] biber 2.4 ** Description changed: - Please backport biber 2.4-1 (main) from debian/snapshot to xenial. + Please SRU biber 2.4 to xenial. [Bug 1591862] [NEW] [Wishlist] Easy authentication via Bluetooth
Public bug reported: For some time, Android has allowed authentication using a paired bluetooth device. This is particularly convenient, and somewhat secure (not perfect, but convenience vs security...). Linux can provide something similar through blueproximity or libpam-blue. However, blueproximity is more or less abandoned, and is a pain to set up properly. libpam-blue is similarly tricky to configure (I've not tested). A quick and painless way to allow a device to be a 'trusted' device would keep things more secure than autologin, but more convenient than password. Some extra thoughts: a companion app on a phone or smartwatch might provide an extra layer of security, for example using a fingerprint sensor, or noticing if the phone itself is locked/unlocked. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: authentication bluetooth wishlist -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1591862 Title: [Wishlist] Easy authentication via Bluetooth To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1591862/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1575899] Re: Text disappears after suspend
Henrik Blidh, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. As per https://www.asus.com/support/Download/3/574/0/1/CPUDRIVER_Ix- 4U/8/ an update to your computer's buggy, insecure, and outdated BIOS is available (211). When you update to this following https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BIOSUpdate how does this improve the situation? For more on BIOS updates and linux, please see https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs#Bug_reporting_etiquette . Please note your current BIOS is already in the Bug Description, so posting this on the old BIOS would not be helpful. Also, you don't have to create a new bug report. Once the BIOS is updated, if the problem is still reproducible: 1) Please provide the output of the following terminal command (not perform an apport-collect): sudo dmidecode -s bios-version && sudo dmidecode -s bios-release-date 2) Please make a comment specifically advising on if there was an improvement or not. 3) Please mark this report Status New. If it's not reproducible, please mark this as Invalid. The error was fixed by following line(commit e4e38121): #include +#ifndef __ASSEMBLY__ + #ifdef CONFIG_PPC_TRANSACTIONAL_MEM extern void do_load_up_transact_fpu(struct thread_struct *thread); Since the tm.h can be included by an assembly and GAS will fail to parse the C specific identifier like "extern". I doubt why we need to compile against 3.13 since Ubuntu14.04.3 is already with kernel 3.19 ( and 3.19 includes e4e38121). I guess we are OK now per comment 15# (compile against 3.19). Ahmed Noor Kader Mustajir Md Eusoff, thank you for reporting this and helping make Ubuntu better. [Bug 1554895] Re: Erratic mouse behaviour
apport information ** Tags added: apport-collected compiz-0.9 ubuntu ** Description changed: I am running Ubuntu 14.04 on a Lenovo Yoga 2 13 and, after a few minutes of working, the mouse pointer goes crazy. It goes to the bottom right corner of the screen and flickers, clicking stuff randomly. * Adding a USB mouse and deactivating the trackpad makes no difference. * Tried Kubuntu 15.10, problem still there. * Tried suggestions in http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2235704 http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2229831=2=13451930#post13451930 without success also. As mentioned by other users, my laptop is currently unusable. I do not want to switch to Windows but, given the current hardware I have, I do not see how I can resolve this.
