[Bug 1625043] Re: tomcat7 package not compliant with tomcat specification
Hi Christian, The issue would be that even though X-Compile-Source-JDK is set to 1.6, the compiler is still using the standard library from Java 8. The ConcurrentHashMap method `java.util.concurrent.ConcurrentHashMap.keySet()Ljava/util/concurrent/ConcurrentHashMap$KeySetView` has had its return type narrowed to a new class that is not present in earlier Java versions, so anything compiled with the Java 8 standard library will expect a ConcurrentHashMap$KeySetView as the type. To compile with Java 8 but make it cross compatible with Java 6, you need to use the bootstrap classpath option to javac and point it at a JDK 6/7 rt.jar, see here for an explanation https://blogs.oracle.com/darcy/entry/bootclasspath_older_source. [Bug 1654778] Re: growisofs: INCOMPATIBLE FORMAT error with DVD-Rs
Hi Thomas, Thanks for your response. You were right, the problem was with my hardware. I plugged in the Sony to a Mac, and tried burning to the same media there. It didn't work. I found an old Plextor PX 712SA and plugged it into my Linux Mint box and retried the burn with the previously-failing media, and it worked. Before I ran these tests, I was thinking this couldn't be a problem with my hardware, because the DVD+RW burn worked. Was it working only by chance? Or is there something different about the OPC phase and DVD+RW media? Thanks for looking at this bug. Please do mark it closed. [Bug 1497105] Re: Clients can't get high frequency input in Unity8
** Summary changed: - Clients can't get high resolution input in Unity8 + Clients can't get high frequency input in Unity8 ** Description changed: - Clients can't get high resolution input in Unity8. + Clients can't get high frequency input in Unity8. Using native (non-nested) Mir servers, clients can get the full speed input stream if they so choose (MIR_CLIENT_INPUT_RATE=0). And it's planned that this will become a formal API feature: bug 1439590 However in Unity8, because it is a nested server, the client no longer - has the option of getting this high resolution input. + has the option of getting this high frequency input. - Examples of clients that utilize high resolution input for improved visual quality: -mir_demo_client_fingerpaint -w--desktop_file_hint=unity8 -mir_demo_client_target -n--desktop_file_hint=unity8 - You may also want to experiment with those using ultra-high resolution input by adding a kernel parameter: usbhid.mousepoll=1 + Examples of clients that utilize high frequency input for improved visual quality: + mir_demo_client_fingerpaint -w--desktop_file_hint=unity8 + mir_demo_client_target -n--desktop_file_hint=unity8 + You may also want to experiment with those using ultra-high frequency input by adding a kernel parameter: usbhid.mousepoll=1 This is a tricky problem because for touch at least we do want the input stream to be throttled to the display rate from the top level down. Perhaps the answer is to enhance Unity8 to be a full-speed (non- resampled) client and then the clients of Unity8 can then still have a choice of whether they get resampling or not. ** Changed in: mir Assignee: Daniel van Vugt (vanvugt) => (unassigned) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1497105 Title: Clients can't get high frequency input in Unity8 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/canonical-devices-system-image/+bug/1497105/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 1654546] [NEW] brltty.service: Failed at step SECCOMP spawning /bin/sh: Invalid argument
Firstly, it does not look like you are using the official raspberry pi kernel for Xenial. Your kernel is 4.1, and the Xenial kernel is 4.4, so it is possible that the kernel you are using does not have the required apparmor bits that Ubuntu needs. [Bug 1654905] [NEW] Update dpkg to 1.18.18
Public bug reported: Our dpkg is 1.18.10 from summer 2016. apt might want to start (build-)depending on 1.18.11 soon, we should really get this up a bit. Background is of course architecture patterns/wildcards: dpkg < 1.18.11 uses triplets, dpkg >= 1.18.11 uses 4-tuplets. And supporting both variants would be a bit annoying. ** Affects: dpkg (Ubuntu) Importance: Medium Status: Triaged -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1654905 Title: Update dpkg to 1.18.18 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dpkg/+bug/1654905/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1619844] Re: [Xenial] shutdown/reboot hangs at "Reached target Shutdown"
I can't quite figure out why, but the answer seems to be "occasionally". I was able to reboot a few times (2 out of maybe 30?) using the complete list of reboot= options. However, I suspect making the reboot= changes is a red herring -- I rebooted the machine more in the past few hours than I have in the rest of the time I've owned it. [Bug 1652419] Re: hdhomerun-config-gui missing from Software app
I confirmed that without -proposed enabled, the hdhomerun app does not show up in the Software app in Ubuntu (Unity) 16.04 or 16.10. After enabling -proposed, the hdhomerun app does show in 16.04. I was then able to install it in the Software app and run it from Unity successfully. I don't have the appropriate hardware to test whether the app works any more than that though. [Bug 1010289] Re: KeePass2: copy username or copy password does not work as expected in applications
You are right. A typo in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/additional- repositories.list, but it somehow did not produce any error, but it's fixed now. Sorry for being off-topic. On-topic is that the outdated Keepass 2.25 (that's all that Ubuntu uses at the moment) still does not copy & paste. It did work for a while after I installed xsel, but the bug has re-appeared. Also, Ctrl-Shift- Insert does NOT work. xsel is 1.2.0-2. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1010289 Title: KeePass2: copy username or copy password does not work as expected in applications To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/keepass2/+bug/1010289/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
