I thought the GeForce GTX 1060 didn't support VDPAU at all. Anyway, as discussed at the links in comment #4, VDPAU doesn't support 10bit HEVC. I recommend that you use NVDEC (either by passing the NVDEC flag or the CUDA flag to mpv or ffmpeg). Ubuntu 16.04.3 here. I can confirm this issue with Amazon WorkMail. I ran Evolution with EWS_DEBUG=2 and dumped out the transaction between the client and AWS. The transaction itself is successful. [Bug 1357093] Re: Kernels not autoremoving, causing out of space error on LVM or Encrypted installation or on any installation, when /boot partition gets full
This bug has just hosed a system I installed for my parents. An unattended-upgrader that breaks your system if you don't attend to it IS broken. Having known about this problem for many years, the least you could have done is added a warning to the installer that choosing lvm or encryption will make a system that breaks itself. The idea that novice users can just run script workarounds is entirely unrealistic. a) They don't know about the problem if they haven't been told (burying it deep in the manuals or text that whizzes by is not good enough) b) from a security PoV they shouldn't be run anything they cut & paste in The general attitude to a major showstopper that is causing a lot of pain for novice users shown in this bug is frankly appalling and I'm pretty much inclined to ditch Ubuntu because of it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1357093 Title: Kernels not autoremoving, causing out of space error on LVM or Encrypted installation or on any installation, when /boot partition gets full To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unattended-upgrades/+bug/1357093/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1712858] Re: system freezes occasionally for several minutes
This sounds like it might be the pulseaudio process getting stuck in a system call that's particular to your sound hardware/driver. Please try running 'lspci -k' and pasting the output here. Also, the problem might not be audio-related at all. It might be some other part of your kernel that's hanging and pulseaudio is just mentioned in the syslog because it's the only one with realtime threads. That doesn't mean those threads caused the problem necessarily. Please also try the latest live image (just boot from USB and leave it running for a while): http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/ ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Changed in: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1712858 Title: system freezes occasionally for several minutes To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1712858/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. [Bug 1716246] Re: i dont know whats going on
Thank you for using Ubuntu and taking the time to report a bug. Your report should contain, at a minimum, the following information so we can better find the source of the bug and work to resolve it. Submitting the bug about the proper source package is essential. For help see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage . Additionally, in the report please include: 1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'cat /etc/lsb-release' or System -> About Ubuntu. 2) The version of the package you are using, via 'dpkg -l PKGNAME | cat' or by checking in Synaptic. 3) What happened and what you expected to happen. The Ubuntu community has also created debugging procedures for a wide variety of packages at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures . Following the debugging instructions for the affected package will make your bug report much more complete. [Bug 1716529] Re: Wayland will not work with my adm video.
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode. To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1716529/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package. [Bug 1715330] Re: gnome-shell crashed with SIGSEGV in _cogl_boxed_value_set_x()
There's some discussion upstream too at https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=787240 - but note that it's a confused bug report that starts out being about a different bug, which is reported in Launchpad as https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source /gnome-shell/+bug/1714330 . Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. [Bug 1716519] [NEW] simple-scan resets the samsung C480 MFP when scaning in photo mode
Public bug reported: I have just installed a Samsung MFP Xpress C480FW. The printer is working ok The simple-scan is working ok if I choose to scan in "Text" mode. It also scans multipages, with no problems at all. Congratulations for the great tool. It is simple and do the job. However if I try to scan in "Photo" mode, smple-scan sends something to the Samsung MFP that the printer/scanner reboots/resets/reinitialize. Only "Photo" mode does that. I have installed xsane and it is a little bit more complicated to scan (lots of options). xsane *can* scan with no reset/reboot of the Samsung MFP. It seems to me that some command simple-scan is sending to the Samsung MFP that is making it reinitialize. The Samsung MFP Xpress C480FW is networked attached (wirelessly).
