[Bug 1721237] [NEW] Transparent gap under title bar when maximized
Public bug reported: I just upgraded to 17.10 beta 2. When maximizing any window, a 2-pixel transparent gap appears between title bar and window content below. Unmaximizing the window gets rid of the transparent bar. I am using gnome-session-compiz. This bug appeared after the upgrade. I didn't see it in 16.04. ** Affects: gnome-flashback (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "unmaximized-with-menubar.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1721237/+attachment/4961980/+files/unmaximized-with-menubar.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1721237 Title: Transparent gap under title bar when maximized To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-flashback/+bug/1721237/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1721223] [NEW] Networkd fail to set ip address between leases if ip address changes on UbuntuCore
Public bug reported: Hi there, we found a replicable issue that involves the Ubuntu Core networking and causes complete loss of connectivity. We run a custom board with ubuntu core: the architecure is amrhf. We replicated this issue with an official Ubuntu Core image on a Raspberry Pi: other platform was been tested. It shows that it is a snap core problem which interests networkd: we use the default network stack based on networkd + netplan. Below steps to replicate the issue. 1)Setup a dhcp server for lease of about some minutes (i.e 10 minutes). 2)Boot the board and wait for get an ip from dhcp server 3)Before the lease expires, set a reservation for a different ip address Depending on lease duration before the lease expires( for 10 minute we have 2 minutes before ), networkd configure the new address in addition to the previous one. When the lease expire both ip address ( the prevoius and the new one ) disappear from the interested network interface. Depending on lease duration before the second lease expires ( for 10 minure we have 2 minutes before ) networkd configure only the new ip address on the network interface and the ping toward an outside host work properly. During the test the dhcp server records correctly leases and their duration. We check directly from console the network interface setting with the tool ip, checking continuously the value for ip address and valid_lft fields for the interested network interface. Please note that if the ip address setting are the same between leases the problem doesn’t jump out. Please note that if the ip address setting are different between lease the problem jumps out and it is very bad: Typically the lease time on consumer router are about some day, then a board that change ip between lease loses the network connectivity for some day without a direct action. Please, after a confirmation from your side of the issue, could you fix the problem or escalate the issue at the upstream project? We are available for further testing. [Bug 1715582] Re: "Operation not supported by backend" when backing up to smb server
I have no issues connecting to the share from Nautilus. The code in 34.4 worked flawless and reliably In 34.4. the protocol was set using a dropdown and the server entered alone (see screenshots) In 36.2 one has to enter the protocol and server but the path in a different location (see screenshots). I have tried a simple Python script to connect to my server and it works fine (so I don't think it is an issue with Gnome but rather an issue in the new selection box). Today the gnome gvfs package came in updated. The issue still persists. If you want I can have a look at the source code and see if I can be of assistance. Currently after every upgrade I revert to 34.4 as the last working solution. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1715582 Title: "Operation not supported by backend" when backing up to smb server To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/deja-dup/+bug/1715582/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1701222] Re: [Hyper-V] LIS daemons fail to start after disable/re-enable VM integration services
The unit entered a failed state, and thus would not automatically started until failed state clears. Why does bouncing of the services result in the daemon exiting with an error condition? Should that particular exit code result in a graceful shutdown of the service, such that the unit can be restarted again? What userspace events should be causing the start of this unit? a udev event / udev rule? a .path unit monitoring sysfs or some such? Is it possible to reproduce this on e.g. azure for me to investigate? I'm going to remove per-series tasks from systemd, until this issue is trianged. per-series tasks on the src:systemd package are used to track fixes/patches which have been developed and are ready for inclusion in the distribution. ** No longer affects: systemd (Ubuntu Artful) ** No longer affects: systemd (Ubuntu Zesty) ** No longer affects: systemd (Ubuntu Xenial) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1701222 Title: [Hyper-V] LIS daemons fail to start after disable/re-enable VM integration services To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1701222/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1721203] [NEW] systemd armhf autopkgtest test-copy fails in artful
Public bug reported: systemd armhf autopkgtest test-copy fails in artful test-copy uses itself as the source to test copies. The test suite tries to test cases where maximum requested copy is below and above the internal buffer size. However, that fails when the maximum requested copy bytes is more than the source binary... as started to be the case with uber optimised artful toolchain on armhf, and after debug symbols stripped. Specifically test-copy started to be less than 32000 bytes. Awaiting improvement to the test suite upstream, simply keep test-copy unstripped such that systemd-tests can be used in adt tests without failures. ** Affects: systemd Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Affects: systemd (Ubuntu) Importance: High Assignee: Dimitri John Ledkov (xnox) Status: Fix Committed ** Affects: systemd (Ubuntu Artful) Importance: High Assignee: Dimitri John Ledkov (xnox) Status: Fix Committed ** Tags: adt-fail armhf ** Also affects: systemd (Ubuntu Artful) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Dimitri John Ledkov (xnox) Status: New ** Bug watch added: github.com/systemd/systemd/issues #6981 https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues/6981 ** Also affects: systemd via https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues/6981 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown ** Changed in: systemd (Ubuntu Artful) Status: New => Fix Committed ** Changed in: systemd (Ubuntu Artful) Importance: Undecided => High -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1721203 Title: systemd armhf autopkgtest test-copy fails in artful To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/systemd/+bug/1721203/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1720953] Re: libwxgtk-webview3.0-dev unmet dependencies in artful
I'm talking about stable Debian and stable Ubuntu - I expect Debian stable with this change be published in 2019 and there is time to rebuild this library or switch to another one by applications authors. This bug report is about change in Ubuntu artful, expected to be released as stable in next 2 weeks. I don't understand why this change is implemented few days before release without chance to rewrite applications using this library. Ubuntu should follow this Debian change with similar schedule with ability to deliver compatible library version or to update depended applications.
