[Bug 1757350] Re: Sync etcd 3.2.17+dfsg-1 (universe) from Debian unstable (main)

2018-03-21 Thread Simon Quigley
This bug was fixed in the package etcd - 3.2.17+dfsg-1
Sponsored for Anthony Fok (foka)

---
etcd (3.2.17+dfsg-1) unstable; urgency=medium

  * New upstream release.
  * Fix FTBFS:
 - New upstream release contains regenerated gRPC *.pb.go and *.pb.gw.po
files (since etcd 3.2.10) which build correctly with the updated gPRC
   packages in Debian.
 - Add "export DH_GOLANG_GO_GENERATE := 1" to debian/rules
to fix FTBFS by re-generating keys.generated.go at build time
with the same version of codecgen as golang-github-ugorji-go-codec-dev.
   See also https://github.com/coreos/etcd/issues/8715.
 - Add "Depends: golang-github-ugorji-go-codec" to have codecgen available
   at build time.
(Closes: #890939)
  * Depend on golang-github-coreos-bbolt-dev, replacing
golang-github-boltdb-bolt-dev, to "address backend database size
issue" (since etcd 3.2.10)
  * Revert incoming-outgoing-context.patch (commit 5e059fd from upstream)
which has been backported upstream in commit d62e39d from v3.3 branch
to v3.2 branch since etcd 3.2.10
  * Add match-ugorji-go-codec-native-time.Time-support.patch, which updates
etcd/client/keys{,_test}.go to match the latest
golang-github-ugorji-go-codec-dev to prevent a new "cannot use
x.Expiration (type *time.Time) as type time.Time in argument to
r.encDriver.EncodeTime" error, see https://github.com/ugorji/go/issues/224
and https://github.com/ugorji/go/commit/8badb25.
  * Apply "cme fix dpkg" to debian/control,
bumping Standards-Version to 4.1.3, setting Priority to optional,
and adding Testsuite: autopkgtest-pkg-go, etc.
  * Add myself to the list of Uploaders

[Bug 1757939] [NEW] broken conffile symlink left behind on upgrade

2018-03-21 Thread Steve Langasek
Public bug reported:

The information attached to this report will claim that /etc/zfs/zed.d
/zed-functions.sh is a modified conffile because it has been "deleted".
What it actually is, is a dangling symlink.

lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root45 Feb 17 2017 /etc/zfs/zed.d/zed-

Confirmed this bug here - same situation, I did an upgrade from 17.10 to
18.04, and prior to reboot, zed is spinning using 100% of a core.

2018-03-21 Thread Ubuntu Foundations Team Bug Bot
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Reviewing your log files attached to this bug report it
seems that a package failed to install due to a segmentation fault in
the application being used for the package installation process.
Unfortunately, this bug report isn't very useful in its current state
and a crash report would be much more useful. Could you try recreating
this issue by enabling apport to catch the crash report 'sudo service
apport start force_start=1' and then trying to install the same package
again? This process will create a new bug report so I am marking this
one as Invalid. Thanks again for helping out!

[This is an automated message. I apologize if it reached you
inappropriately; please just reply to this message indicating so.]

[Bug 1437353] Re: UEFI network boot hangs at grub for adapter 82599ES 10-Gigabit SFI/SFP+

2018-03-21 Thread Steve Langasek
Hello Matt, or anyone else affected,

Accepted grub2-signed into xenial-proposed. The package will build now
and be available at
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2-signed/1.66.18 in a few
hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how
to enable and use -proposed.Your feedback will aid us getting this
update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug,
mentioning the version of the package you tested and change the tag from
verification-needed-xenial to verification-done-xenial. If it does not
fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the
tag to verification-failed-xenial. In either case, without details of
your testing we will not be able to proceed.

Further information regarding the verification process can be found at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in
advance!

[Bug 1757929] [NEW] Lenovo Yoga 11S touchpad is numb and unresponsive with libinput 1.10.3

2018-03-21 Thread Daniel van Vugt
Public bug reported:

Lenovo Yoga 11S touchpad is numb and unresponsive with libinput 1.10.3

Actually it starts out very jittery, but soon switches mode and becomes
numb and unresponsive (hysteresis margin feels too big maybe).

Workaround: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics works fine and has neither
problem.

[Bug 1757808] [NEW] Please port your package away from Qt 4

2018-03-21 Thread Simon Quigley
Public bug reported:

Currently Qt 4 has been dead upstream and we are starting to have
problems maintaining it, like for example in the OpenSSL 1.1 support
case.

Following in the footsteps of Debian[1], all packages directly or
indirectly depending on qt4-x11 (like this one) must either get ported
to Qt 5 and uploaded to the development release or get removed (by means
of demotion to -proposed or removal of the package) before the 19.04
release. If it is possible to port your package by the 18.10 release,
please do so.

If you have any questions about porting or this transition, please ask
in #ubuntu-qt (preferred) or directly ping me

[Bug 1757583] Re: Annotations Not Embedded using File > Save As...

2018-03-21 Thread Tom Colley
I further investigated this problem. My initial report was based on
annotations to a document sent by a bank. Some forums report that
document DRM properties affect the ability to create/edit annotation.
See:

https://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/278874/newer-version-of-okular-can-no-longer-annotate-certain-pdf-files
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=341999

I was always able to annotate the bank PDF. I just couldn't embed the
annotations by using File > Save As...

When I tested again with a PDF I generated from LibreOffice, I found
that annotations were successfully embedded using File > Save As...

I used another computer with the same OS and Okular version to replicate
these tests for both the LibreOffice and bank PDFs, and the results were
the same.

I also replicated these tests on the first computer after changing the
DRM setting in Okular (I went to Settings > Configure Okular > General
Tab, unchecked "Obey DRM Limitations", and restarted the computer). The
results were the same.

I conclude that failure to embed annotations using "File > Save As..."
is LIKELY related to DRM but isn't affected by the setting for "Obey DRM
Limitations".

My revised recommendation: investigate the annotation-saving behaviour
to determine whether its DRM-related, and modify Okular to communicate
such problems to the user and provide an effective and documented ways
of embedding annotations for all PDFs.

indirectly depending on qt4-x11 (like this one) must either get ported
to Qt 5 and uploaded to the development release or get removed (by means
of demotion to -proposed or removal of the package) before the 19.04
release. If it is possible to port your package by the 18.10 release,
please do so.

If you have any questions about porting or this transition, please ask
in #ubuntu-qt (preferred) or directly ping me
