An |attached| sequence number that is too old means that _cairo_xlib_shm_pool_cleanup() can call _cairo_xlib_display_shm_pool_destroy() and so shmdt() before the server processes the ShmAttach request, resulting in BadAccess errors. Similarly _cairo_xlib_shm_surface_mark_active() is called and uses XNextRequest() before the corresponding request, leading to similar races affecting _cairo_xlib_shm_surface_flush() and get_compositor() and _cairo_xlib_shm_info_cleanup(). I assume _cairo_xlib_shm_surface_get_obdata() has similar issues. Re: [Bug 1773704] Re: Typo at line 184 in xhci-pci.c makes trouble for Renesas USB chipset in Bionic 18.04
I wasn't able to test the kernel you provided, dpkg -i complained of conflicting packages. I suspect because the kernel was down-rev relative to the running kernel. But I don't reslly know, I'm relatively new to compilling and installing kernels. However, I was able to compile and install my own kernel on the target machine. Once again, all I did was change line 184 to be identical to like 187 and it worked like a charm: no more errors. So my suggestion was that if you made the exact same change, your test jernel _should_ work. But I can understand if that's just not the way it's done around here, and I'll be happy to test your kernel if I can get around the error message. Is there an option I can give to dpkg to force the installation? -Jeff On Friday, July 27, 2018, 8:41:19 AM PDT, Joseph Salisbury wrote: Sorry for the delay. [Bug 517750] Re: udev rules under /etc have incorrect path to firmware files
I was using M-Audio Oxygen Keyboard in udev v237, Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. According to lots of the changes in udev since v136, the rules configuration of this package (from sourceforge) is out of date. The newest fix I can find is in following repo: https://github.com/oeai/m-audio-usb-midi-fw/ I have to change all the rules 'SUBSYSTEM=="usb_device"' to 'SUBSYSTEM=="usb"' before installing it, However, it finally works for my keyboard. Hope this helps. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/517750 Title: udev rules under /etc have incorrect path to firmware files To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/midisport-firmware/+bug/517750/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1766555] Re: openscad package missing from 18.04
When I installed Bionic in April there where several problems, among openscad whas one. This and other information about the future of Ubuntu made me to leave Ubuntu for my work, after 10 years, in favor of Debian. Is Mark Shuttleworth doing a "Red Hat"? [Bug 1784165] [NEW] Upgrader leaves proposed pocket enabled
Public bug reported: I just updated from Artful to Bionic using the usual GUI. Before upgrade, I had artful-proposed in sources.list, with a /etc/apt/preferences.d/proposed-updates pin as follows: Package: * Pin: release a=artful-proposed Pin-Priority: 400 This pin is recommended in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed. I forgot I had this here. I've ended up with Bionic installed, but fully upgraded up to proposed. The preferences file wasn't touched, and since it is release-specific, it now has no effect. Could you perhaps detect if the proposed pocket appears in sources.list or sources.list.d and disable it like you do PPAs before upgrade? ** Affects: ubuntu-release-upgrader (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1784165 Title: Upgrader leaves proposed pocket enabled To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-release-upgrader/+bug/1784165/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1784161] Re: Mouse inoperative in other apps while Shotwell is uploading to Flickr
Adding some detail here: Switching back to xorg reproduces the bug 100%. I can click on the launcher, it seems to be the only thing that'll receive my clicks while the bug is active, but new apps launched while the bug is active are also unable to see mouse clicks. Kernel is 4.15.0-29-generic #31-Ubuntu SMP Tue Jul 17 15:39:52 UTC 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux shotwell is 0.28.2 that came preinstalled, I've done nothing to it other than import a folder of photos and authenticate with Flickr for my upload key. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1784161 Title: Mouse inoperative in other apps while Shotwell is uploading to Flickr To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1784161/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
