[Bug 1823282] Re: optimize reload of openvswitch-switch

QA-TEST 2019-04-05 (AEST (au) local time) -- comments from test dell [optiplex] 755 (c2d-e8300, 8gb, amd/ati radeon rv610/radeon hd2400 pro/xt) two displays, right is portrait mode - adjusted monitor.settings to match my setup; for some reason it's seeing resolution as differing (they should be identical) but i'm ignoring this for now (it has occurred before so i'm blaming hardware (screen or cable)) .. added second panel to second display... add widgets a little like default panel -- it's opening menu ~13.5cm above panel today?? and ~9.5cm below top of screen!! it's getting higher again! (measurements are using a ruler & to closest half-cm; possibly unhelpful for debugging but it's easy...) this could be related to resolution (dell displays should be same resolution; i'm blaming hardware issue for resolution diff), AND this is occurring on the monitor that monitor.settings has declared is lower res (1024x768 instead of 1280x1024 the monitor should be getting). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1810075 Title: lxqt-panel: menu-button opens in wrong position (on portrait display, normal on landscape..) nuts. Going to 4.20.15-200.fc29.x86_64 failed again... and backing up to 4.20.13-200 also failed. Tricked by a race condition into thinking that that version actually worked? Bad interaction with some other update applied since? Dunno. drm-tip (now at 5.1-rc3) continues to work. Fedora 29 is now at 5.0.5-200... yep, same problems as always. Nothing in the changelogs lights me up as an obvious thing, but there's a lot there and I'm not a kernel expert. [Bug 1823281] [NEW] perf-archive is not shipped in the linux-tools package
Public bug reported: The perf-archive tool is not shipped in the linux-tools package. This causes the command 'perf archive' to fail despite there being a manpage for it. This tool is used to help ship debug info to analyse perf data remotely. This is a shell script in the kernel tree (tools/perf/perf-archive.sh) that gets copied to the file tools/perf/perf-archive at build time. When executing 'perf archive' it executes this tool. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1823281 Title: perf-archive is not shipped in the linux-tools package To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1823281/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1817049] Re: Subiquity should install security updates before first login
Two methods come to mind: - Writing an apt sources.list that omits the -updates pocket - Writing apt pinning rules that omits the -updates pocket. I would prefer we install all updates, unless the user has explicitly requested only the -security pocket: - Updates from -updates may be very important but not involve a security boundary. - Doing a simple apt update && apt upgrade with the configured sources would be easier than trying to modify the sources or add and remove pinning without disrupting any pinning the user may have selected. [Bug 1813007] Fix merged to neutron (stable/pike)
Reviewed: https://review.openstack.org/648102 Committed: https://git.openstack.org/cgit/openstack/neutron/commit/?id=a9bc8ab1e1931aac84f30e29412f17264d88a5a0 Submitter: Zuul Branch:stable/pike commit a9bc8ab1e1931aac84f30e29412f17264d88a5a0 Author: Brian Haley Date: Thu Feb 28 22:19:16 2019 -0500 Fix KeyError in OVS firewall When merging port ranges, the code never assumed the conjunction ID might not be present in the set due to already being removed. In this case there were two security groups, both using the same remote security group, but the first security group does not define a port range and the second one does. Or more generally, the first SG port range is a subset of the second, as no port-range means the full range.
