[Bug 1713490] Re: error migrating blocked on virtio-net-pci.rom
@Norman - Not a bad idea. The content is synced from the source already, just the size allocation is what can mismatch - it happens so early that it is local. It was suggested like 3 times (I'm sure you could find them on the ML-archive somewhere) or so to transfer the source-size as part of the initial migration meta-data (that would then need a new arg to qemu to specify the size, so it would be qemu arg + libvirt migration data + libvirt rendering that arg accordingly + capability checks for the same). But so far no one ever (neither upstream nor any distro) found the time to implement this feature. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1713490 Title: error migrating blocked on virtio-net-pci.rom To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/cloud-archive/+bug/1713490/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1916243] Re: Xorg unable to select nvidia
Thanks for the bug report. If appears the Nvidia driver is having trouble detecting your Nvidia GPU. It also appears you have installed a version of the Nvidia driver that is: (a) Not supported by Ubuntu; and (b) The only version supporting your GPU according to the Nvidia website. I am not sure what to do in this case. [Bug 1915750] Re: with wifi on, bluetooth speaker output sound is stuttering / garbled / jittery
Thanks for the bug report. First, please try closing the Settings window and tell us if that fixes the issue (per bug 1797002). If that did not fix the issue then as a workaround you could try choosing only 5GHz wifi networks as those will not interfere with Bluetooth like 2.4GHz networks do. To find out the frequency of your networks you can run this command in a Terminal window: iwlist scanning ** Summary changed: - with wifi on, bluetooth speaker output sound is stuttering / garbled / jittery + Intel 9460/9560 (8087:0aaa) with wifi on, bluetooth speaker output sound is stuttering / garbled / jittery ** Summary changed: - Intel 9460/9560 (8087:0aaa) with wifi on, bluetooth speaker output sound is stuttering / garbled / jittery + Intel 9460/9560 (USB 8087:0aaa, PCI 8086:a370)) with wifi on, bluetooth speaker output sound is stuttering / garbled / jittery ** Package changed: bluez (Ubuntu) => linux (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1915750 Title: Intel 9460/9560 (USB 8087:0aaa, PCI 8086:a370) with wifi on, bluetooth speaker output sound is stuttering / garbled / jittery To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1915750/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Thanks for the bug report. Firstly, if you have 'tlp' installed then please uninstall it because it can cause problems like this. Secondly, you mention 'Microsoft' and 'Trust' mice in the bug description but your logs only ever seem to show: * Logitech USB Optical Mouse * Sunplus Innovation Technology Inc. [Bug 1916418] [NEW] Custom properties set with ENV{WHATEVER} in parent no longer imported with IMPORT{parent} in udev rule
Public bug reported: DisplayLink uses these udev rules to start the displaylink service when a displaylink device is plugged in: ACTION=="add", SUBSYSTEM=="usb", DRIVERS=="usb", ATTR{idVendor}=="17e9", IMPORT{builtin}="usb_id", ENV{DISPLAYLINK_DEVNAME}="$env{DEVNAME}", ENV{DISPLAYLINK_DEVICE_ID}="$env{ID_BUS}-$env{BUSNUM}-$env{DEVNUM}-$env{ID_SERIAL}", ENV{REMOVE_CMD}="/opt/displaylink/udev.sh $root $env{DISPLAYLINK_DEVICE_ID} $env{DISPLAYLINK_DEVNAME}" ACTION=="add", SUBSYSTEM=="usb", DRIVERS=="usb", ATTRS{idVendor}=="17e9", ATTR{bInterfaceClass}=="ff", ATTR{bInterfaceProtocol}=="03", IMPORT{parent}="DISPLAYLINK*", RUN+="/opt/displaylink/udev.sh $root $env{DISPLAYLINK_DEVICE_ID} $env{DISPLAYLINK_DEVNAME}" The important thing to note here is that the first rule is for the device that is the parent of the device triggers the second rule, and the first rule sets ENV{DISPLAYLINK_DEVNAME} and ENV{DISPLAYLINK_DEVICE_ID}, and the second rule attempts to import them with IMPORT{parent} and then use them. This worked fine in 20.04. It does not work in 21.04. When the second rule is triggered, DISPLAYLINK_DEVICE_ID and DISPLAYLINK_DEVNAME are not set. I have confirmed via udevadm monitor that the variables are getting set on the parent. I have confirmed via udevadm info --attribute-walk that the device triggering the second rule is the child of the device triggering the first one. I have tried to import the variables explicitly instead of using a glob pattern and that doesn't work either. When I modify the rule to import DEVNAME, ID_BUS, BUSNUM, DEVNUM, and ID_SERIAL directly, that works. The problem appears to be that these custom properties we are setting in the parent can't be imported in the child. [Bug 1916412] [NEW] WiFi not working after upgrade to 21.04 on ACER Aspire One
Public bug reported: After upgrading my ACER ASPIRE ONE D270-1895 to LUbuntu 21.04 Daily Build February 20 2021, WiFi no longer works. The adapter is detected but it is disconnected and I cannot connect. This is a dual boot machine, and the WiFi works on on Windows. I realize that this is an early release and I am prepared to live with some problems like this one. This is not a "production" computer for me; I thought I would try the new pre-release on a machine that is not critical so that I could get a feel for it and also so that I could report any bugs that I come across in the hopes that it will help the developers improve the final release. [Bug 1916409] [NEW] Hifiberry ADC no longer works with jack after update
Public bug reported: I have a raspberry PI configured, with a hifiberry DAC+ ADC PRO. It has Ubuntu 20.10 installed, and worked fine, until I ran apt-get upgrade today. alsaloop still works, but it is impossible to get jackd to start and accept clients. It will give errors on startup. I booted with another SD-card, and everything ran fine. To confirm the problem was the kernel and firmware, I booted the kernel from the old sd-card, and the OS from the other. Re: [Bug 1913583] Re: [plugin][k8s] Canonical Distribution of Kubernetes fixes
Hello, Krb5 is that a good, fast and secure alternative to openldap ? Cause we only run Linux racks and servers specialized in Linux hosting. We have no need for skating printere or Connect such services to our servers with Windows. But i havent found a pretty easy and good Web GuI to control it with like phpldap has. We only need a good auth system with master and slave to run against our dns Also, who decides that this user Exist and do have access to ftp and web But not Mail, another only has access to Mail and so on. Im new to these sort of things dough we usually always ran our own developed web control panel with ldap with openbsd servers in front as routers and loadbalancers and freebsd for firewalls and then debian system behind. But these days with powerful servers of Ubuntu it seems you can do everything from One system.
