[Bug 1940262] Re: The modalias in 470 is not compatible to 460
I would like to propose fix to nvidia_supported script that parses README.txt. On the line with RTX A5000, there are 2 spaces after the PCI IDs. Current nvidia_supported script assumes there are at least 3 spaces before VDPAU features column, which is not the case in this line. My proposal of parsing this list is to use offset to get the column of Device PCI ID, and get 1-3 hex strings after the offset. ** Attachment added: "nvidia_supported" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nvidia-graphics-drivers-470/+bug/1940262/+attachment/5521045/+files/nvidia_supported -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1940262 Title: The modalias in 470 is not compatible to 460 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/oem-priority/+bug/1940262/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1505584] Re: [Realtek ALC887-VD] Playback only through 2 channels by default
I have a worse bug : after setting alsamixer to 6ch and restarting pulseaudio, I have no rear sound and no dialog in 5.1 application (I select a 5.1 profile in pulseaudio + the sound section in Ubuntu setting pannel is unable to test the speakers (they remain silent while the system sound can actually be played in other manner). Thanks again. That confirms the crash happens only in the live session on: gnome-shell --sm-disable --mode=ubiquity but it also confirms the crash is unreportable because "Invalid core dump". [Bug 1941788] Re: amdgpu page fault in journalctl

The other packages do not have release critical bugs in Debian, have not been removed from testing, and are not reported to fail to build from source in Ubuntu. They therefore don't meet the criteria for removal and blacklisting in Ubuntu. [Bug 1940635] Re: systemd-networkd failing to acquire a DHCP6 lease from dnsmasq on armhf
A quick guess would be the problem is glibc upstream commit 13c51549e2077f2f3bf84e8fd0b46d8b0c615912, combined with upstream commit a26918cfda4bc4b9dad8aae1496e3ef7cbb63d96 setting __ASSUME_TIME64_SYSCALLS based on the *build* time kernel (not runtime kernel), and since our build farm runs a kernel older than 5.1, __ASSUME_TIME64_SYSCALLS remains unset for armhf. For all our other archs, __WORDSIZE == 64 I think, so only armhf would be affected. Hello TimK., or anyone else affected, Accepted zfs-linux into focal-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/zfs- linux/0.8.3-1ubuntu12.13 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository. Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users. If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested, what testing has been performed on the package and change the tag from verification-needed- focal to verification-done-focal. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification- failed-focal. In either case, without details of your testing we will not be able to proceed. Further information regarding the verification process can be found at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification . Thank you in advance for helping! N.B. The updated package will be released to -updates after the bug(s) fixed by this package have been verified and the package has been in -proposed for a minimum of 7 days. ** Changed in: zfs-linux (Ubuntu Focal) Status: Confirmed => Fix Committed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1939177 Title: Ubuntu 20.04.2 LTS kernel 5.11.0-25 zfs send | receive broken To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/zfs-linux/+bug/1939177/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1940635] Re: systemd-networkd failing to acquire a DHCP6 lease from dnsmasq on armhf
I can now confirm that the bug has been introduced strictly by the glibc 2.34, and not another package in the -proposed pocket. My reproduction steps were as following: Boot an Ubuntu Impish qemu VM (fully up-to-date (funnily enough, far from being a trivial thing to do, see at the bottom for pointers). In the VM, install the dpkg-dev and dnsmasq-base packages, get the systemd sources, go into the test subdirectory of the sources, and run the following command: sudo python3 networkd-test.py DnsmasqClientTest.test_coldplug_dhcp_ip6 It should succeed (it has, in my case). Then enable the -proposed pocket in the APT sources, with APT preferences looking like so Package: * Pin: release a=impish-proposed Pin-Priority: 50 Finally, update *only* the glibc: sudo apt install -t impish-proposed libc6 Reboot the VM, go into the test directory, and run the same python3 command as above. It now fails. To revert to the previous state of the VM (if you haven't made a snapshot), simply use an apt preference > 1000 for the a=impish packages, the resolver will downgrade every package. I captured straces for both debug runs for the networkd daemon, I'll attach them to the post. For reference, to get them, I changed the ExecStart line in /lib/systemd/system/systemd-networkd.service to ExecStart=sh -c "strace -o /tmp/networkd.strace -p & exec /lib/systemd/systemd-networkd" , added this line ReadWritePaths=/tmp and added CAP_SYS_PTRACE to the AmbiantCapabilties and CapabilitiesBoundingSet lines. How I finally managed to get a VM up and running: * used `autopkgtest-buildvm-ubuntu-cloud -v -r impish --arch armhf` using autopkgtest git master -> This gave me an image with credentials and disk space * Used `mount-image-callback my.img --mountpoint /mnt -- cp -L /mnt/boot/vmlinuz /mnt/boot/initrd.img` to extract the kernel and initrd -> couldn't figure out how to use a proper bootloader, so direct kernel boot * use virtio for the img, and add root=/dev/vda1 as a kernel argument when launching qemu. ** Attachment added: "networkd-glib-2.33.trace" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/glibc/+bug/1940635/+attachment/5520980/+files/networkd-glib-2.33.trace -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1940635 Title: systemd-networkd failing to acquire a DHCP6 lease from dnsmasq on armhf To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/glibc/+bug/1940635/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Public bug reported: Currently, this package will FTBFS on ppc64 when building with go 1.16. This looks as follows: go build fmt: /usr/lib/go-1.16/pkg/tool/linux_ppc64le/compile: signal: segmentation fault (core dumped) Sample log: https://autopkgtest.ubuntu.com/results/autopkgtest- impish/impish/ppc64el/a/alertmanager-irc- relay/20210819_040524_dc3cc@/log.gz The failing package seems inconsistent - other packages I've seen fail include 'net' and 'runtime' and 'github.com/prometheus/common/model'. go 1.17 seems to not segfault on this compile step, based on the binary release at https://golang.org/dl/go1.17.linux-ppc64le.tar.gz ** Affects: alertmanager-irc-relay (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: ftbfs -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1941791 Title: FTBFS on ppc64el with go 1.16 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alertmanager-irc-relay/+bug/1941791/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
