[Bug 602825] Re: wicd doesnt like python 2.7
Matthieu Baerts: what exactly does your branch fix (something about wpa_supplicant?), and does it fix something that would be good to have upstream? I'd be happy to merge it with our stuff as well, if you'd like. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/602825 Title: wicd doesnt like python 2.7 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 602825] Re: wicd doesnt like python 2.7
ok, in the patch you linked to, change the python2 reference (at the very bottom of the patch) to python2.7 or python2.6 and that should fix it. We were debating about what to do about that in the IRC channel the other day. It seems impractical to scan PATH for python2.7 then 2.6 then 2.5 but I think that's what we're going to have to do as it seems that there is not a uniform way of accessing python2 across distros.
[Bug 545671] Re: Mouse works in GDM, mouse doesn't work once logged in

[39540.664949] psmouse.c: resync failed, issuing reconnect request Went like this: In X, keyboard stopped working (just randomly) Switch to VT Switch back to X, keyboard and mouse both work This bug appears to still not be fixed despite being set as fix released. -- Mouse works in GDM, mouse doesn't work once logged in https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/545671 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 545671] Re: Mouse works in GDM, mouse doesn't work once logged in
I'm still having an issue with this on a fully-updated Lucid system (the same one as in the original report). Touchpad works fine in GDM, works fine immediately after resume from suspend (for a second or so) then completely stops responding to touches. It had gone away for a while but has returned in the last couple of days. [Bug 545671] [NEW] Mouse works in GDM, mouse doesn't work once logged in
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg My touchpad stops working once logged into GNOME. The touchpad works as expected in GDM. Expected: Touchpad works normally after logged into desktop. Actually happened: Touchpad stopped responding during the GDM - Desktop transition. To reproduce: Start Lucid and log in. Mouse will stop working once logged in. This happened even through reboots. I managed to get the mouse working by switching to a VT (ctrl+alt+f1) and then back to X (ctrl+alt+f8). Just to confirm this is still a problem in Firefox 3.5.1 and Konqueror.
