I'm using libmp3lame under 13.04 amd64 but this dosn't seem to be Rhythmbox-specific. @mrpouit Why is this considered invalid? `avconv -formats | grep \mp3` lists "DE mp3 MPEG audio layer 3" yet I'm told mp3 is an unknown encoder. After upgrading from a fresh 11.10 to 12.04, I experienced the same problem and removing ~/.cache/sso/sso-client.log fixed it.
