[Bug 425455] Re: [karmic] Wireless LAN disconnects frequently # Chipset Intel 3945ABG @ AP with WPA

2010-02-26 Thread Alexander Nevskiy
Tony

It's not a driver problematic. It's a Network Manager that doesn't work.
I have this intel wifi card and Network Manager on 9.10 doesn't work
with WPA Wifi (though it used to work on previous versions of Ubuntu).
And I forced to use Wicd, because once I replaced Network Manager with
Wicd I have not issues with Wifi at all.

[Bug 425455] Re: [karmic] Wireless LAN disconnects frequently # Chipset Intel 3945ABG @ AP with WPA

2009-12-11 Thread Alexander Nevskiy
Christian,

I'm quite sure, that this bug is connected to network-manager, not iwl.
If I install wicd, WPA connection works flawlessly. Ken and Miguel also
reported that (check comments above). Should we copy this bug for Gnome
community then?

I have absolutely the same issue. Everything worked fine in 7.10, but since I
upgraded to released 8.04 I can't suspend my laptop by closing the lid.
I've the same ACPI log posted above.

[Bug 224199] [NEW] I have wrong resolution after hibernating

2008-04-29 Thread Alexander Nevskiy
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: 915resolution

When my laptop hibernates (e.g. when memory dumped in swap and the
indicator isn't blinking), it has wrong resolution when I start up it.
It's like 915resolution service is not started. I didn't have this
problem in Ubuntu 7.*

[Bug 134448] Re: Gutsy: 3D acceleration doesn't work when multiple sessions are open

2007-10-06 Thread Alexander Nevskiy
Confirm. (Gutsy)

When I login first I have Desktop effects working. If I switch to
another user, 3d effects will not work for him. If I try to start them
by hand (system->parameters->appearance), it will say that it could not
be enabled. Then I tried to switch to the first logged user, disabled
Desktop effects, switch to any another user, tried to enable Desktop
effects - again could not be enabled

For each user a new X server is started (e.g. I can switch to them by
ctrl+alt+f{6,8,9})

May be that might help.
