Hi,
After retest this bug again, I also cannot reproduced this issue too.
St.Louis : Check 2 times and no issue
Caracalla : Check 1 time and no issue

Both system can revert/refresh completed now.

Please let me set this bug to Invalid.

Steps:
1.Restore test system to factory image.
2.Boot to system and refresh snaps to stable version.
  $snap refresh
3.After system reboot to system, refresh core to #3440.
  $snap refresh core --ignore-validation --candidate
4.After system reboot to system, revert core to stable version.
  $snap revert core

Result:
admin@localhost:~$ snap revert core
error: cannot revert "core": snap "core" has changes in progress

1) We are make sure that the stable version do not have the known issue.(use 
factory image + refresh to stable version)
2) refresh the kernel snap to new version and Known bugs reproducible.
3) We use revert features and revert the kernel snap back to stable version.

Expected result:
According to revert the kernal snap to stable version already, the known issue 
should be disappear.

Actual result:
Knwon bugs is exist in stable version.

Steps:
1.Modify configuration to enable HDMI Audio features and disable Analog Audio 
features.(by add/remove # symbol)
  $ sudo vim.tiny /etc/modprobe.d/joule-snd.conf
2.Reboot system to enable settings.
3.Switch to root and do following steps:
  $ sudo su -
  $ mkdir -p /run/user/0/snap-pulse/pulse
  $ pulseaudio.pactl list cards

Except Result:
List Card #0, which is about HDMI Audio profile information.

Issue Result:
No any cards are listed.

Note:
joule-linux 4.4.0-1003.8-1 #12 do not have this issue.
