[Bug 495368] [NEW] Pulseaudio permanently loosing second soundcard
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pulseaudio I have two soundcards, onboard motherboard codec for external HiFi and PCI au8820 (amplified) for old PC speakers and microphone to use voice communication and system sounds. With older (8.04/8.10/9.04) releases with ALSA it works just fine, I've selected target soundcard in application and it was great. In 9.10 a new sound server appeared and I decide to play with it. So, it's good when it works, but one of the soundcards is dissapearing from PulseAudio in random moment of time. Killing pulseaudio process is helping a lot but for the next issue. How can I debug/add more information on it to help improve PulseAudio? ** Affects: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: au8820 pulseaudio -- Pulseaudio permanently loosing second soundcard https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/495368 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 485766] [NEW] lack of support for Fintek F71889F
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: lm-sensors I've just upgraded to new MSI motherboard with Fintek F71889F IO chip and there is no way to get the CPU temperatures. A quick look to google says me that there is two main reasons for it: 1. Old lm-sensors package in Ubuntu 9.10, current release is 3.1.1 and the Ubuntu shipped one is 3.0.2 or so. This problem is easy to fix but there is 2. Old f71882fg module in kernel/hwmon. There is a patch http://ring.nict.go.jp/archives/linux/kernel.org/kernel/people/jdelvare/linux-2.6/jdelvare-hwmon/hwmon-f71882fg-04-add-f71889fg-support.patch for adding support f71889f to existing f71882fg code, I don't know, is there plans to implement it to main kernel code.
