[Bug 1566566] [NEW] Desktop mode tab overflow to inifinity, icons overlapping

2016-04-05 Thread Allan LeSage
Public bug reported:

Opening multi multi tabs on frieza with desktop mode engaged (external
monitor), ultimately the X and Earth icons overlap.

Further this PractiTest test plan is promising me a second row of tabs,
don't know if that's implemented yet?

Feel free to mark as dupe but not finding one in the existing bugs.

[Bug 1566373] [NEW] GMail webapp keyboard hide and seek

2016-04-05 Thread Allan LeSage
Public bug reported:

This is possibly a keyboard problem instead, please feel free to
reassign as necessary. Testing with Frieza r75.

TEST CASE
GMail account connected, GMail app open, landscape mode
1. Compose e-mail, compose screen appears
2. Tap in address header
EXPECTED
Keyboard appears
ACTUAL
Keyboard appears, keyboard immediately hides

Possibly this is a layout issue; also the delay in opening the keyboard
(blank white space left open during delay) may explain? Here's a link
to a video (note upside-down :/ ):

Cut-and-pasting from bug 1562113.

TEST CASE

2. Navigate to photos scope, refresh
3. Tap to open photo, open photo in gallery
4. Edit photo (e.g. rotate) (back arrow to return to list gallery view to
complete edit)
5. Return to photo scope, refresh
EXPECTED
Photo thumbnail appears in edited state (e.g. rotated)
ACTUAL
Photo thumbnail has disappeared

[Bug 1549425] [NEW] ERROR: testbed failure: testbed auxverb failed with exit code 255

2016-02-24 Thread Allan LeSage

Hi, not sure if we're doing something wrong while testing devices in our

I'll attach a full log, but the gist is

adt-run [17:47:17]: ERROR: testbed failure: testbed auxverb failed with exit

[Bug 1524488] Re: Manually setting the time into the past makes scopes sluggish, unnavigable

2015-12-10 Thread Allan LeSage
Ok I do think this is a real issue, happy to post a video--I've been
testing a release on this arale and was confused when seeing this
behavior again after a fresh flash.

I previously set the time manually on this phone--I assume this persists
in some way in hardware, because the time is incorrect on boot even
after flashing. So, the phone wakes displaying an incorrect time; if
I'm able to get through lock quickly, I see the indicator changing to
NTP. When the indicator changes to the correct time *the sluggish
behavior turns on* .

Still trying to lock down the conditions to reproduce this bug wanted to
report.

[Bug 1524488] [NEW] Manually setting the time into the past makes scopes sluggish, unnavigable

2015-12-09 Thread Allan LeSage
Public bug reported:

Unexpected behavior while testing a U1 silo:

TEST CASE
1. Open ubuntu-system-settings, set time manually into the past a few hours
2. Return to scopes
3. Swipe left for next scope
EXPECTED
Scope swipes left, next scope appears.
ACTUAL
Stunted swipe appears to register late, fails to switch scope.

Please feel free to reassign if the gesture itself is dependent on time?
Pathological use case but maybe worth examining if it exposes some
pathological codepaths ;) .

[Bug 1379421] Re: [messaing-app] shouldn't rotate into landscape mode as causes issues with compose and main view

2015-11-12 Thread Allan LeSage

leaves some layout decisions to be made--specifically there's an ugly
overlay on krillin, will attach screenie.

I'm hijacking this bug for discussion as I see recent activity here,
please feel free to re-open elsewhere (or to re-title this bug as

[Bug 1478610] Re: "No SIM card selected" blocks SMS reply

Not able to reproduce this after reboot, get the modal dialog but
messaging screen has SIM selector--wondering if it has something to do

Ultimately I removed one of my krillin SIMs to reestablish SMS--
recalling that just a reboot didn't help at the time (with two SIMs in).

This really did affect every one of my conversations on Saturday
evening, was lucky to run into my friend in crowded street festival else
I would've been one lonely ubuntu user :) .

[Bug 1449818] [NEW] Camera video adopts aspect ratio of previously-playing video from photo roll

2015-04-28 Thread Allan LeSage
Public bug reported:

TEST CASE
1. Play landscape-aspect-ratio video in mediaplayer-app.
2. Navigate to camera => camera roll => previously-capture video (of vertical
aspect ratio).
3. Play camera-roll video.
4. Media player app opens.

EXPECTED
Video plays with vertical aspect ratio.

ACTUAL
Video is squeezed into landscape aspect ratio.

Don't know if this belongs to camera-app instead, please correct me.
Will attach logs and screenies. This is on arale 27.

supply a temp env var depending on platform (we'll be doing this in
tests until such exists.)

Quick note that I'm not tagging this for rtm14/qa-daily-testing as it

some design input necessary, unlikely to fix immediately.

[Bug 1295387] [NEW] Set key_control to false in default config

2014-03-20 Thread Allan LeSage
Public bug reported:

Just discussing with cyphermox and Wellark, consider changing the
default config to ship with key_control=false , else this service simply
exits. This MacBook Pro 5,5 doesn't have a wifi key for the record; a
few other examples including Wellark and nuclearbob have found this
config change to be necessary.

Assigning to Mathieu for his consideration, please let me know if I can
provide more info.

[Bug 1240756] [NEW] Weirdly-located label for battery "Brightness"

2013-10-16 Thread Allan LeSage
Public bug reported:

Possibly this is related to lp:1227250 , which I see is freshly fixed;
I'm on build 99 (20131015.2), and I've seen this in earlier builds
although I haven't been able to reproduce it (and am not confident of
these conditions now :( ). With these caveats, I'll attach a
screenshot.

The label for the brightness indicator appears (unreliably) inside the
slider--is this intentional?

Will verify in released image tomw.

2013-10-16 Thread Allan LeSage

FWIW; maybe another of the settings bugs is implicated? E.g. lp:1237414
, if the settings app had been opened to the front page prior to the
first step. . . .

[Bug 1226197] Re: Network menu shows WiFi networks even the switch is off

So I'm able to reproduce this by turning off/on/off Wi-Fi under System
Settings; that menu is left in a state with APs remaining--then
navigating to the indicator will show those remaining networks. (I.e.
shutdown/startup may not be implicated.)
