I'm having the same issue with an RTX 2080. If I start up in safe graphics mode, it works. [Bug 780402] [NEW] when changing workspaces in Unity, desktop wallpaper window also slides
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: compiz - Ubuntu 11.04 - Compiz 1:0.9.4+bzr20110415-0ubuntu2 I demoed this bug to didrocks, and he agreed it looks bad. Especially since nautilus also draws the shadow for the panel, you get this ugly little stripe sliding past. well, one of the reasons we are experimenting with wingpanel currently is that global menu has two fairly large problems. 1. it enforces having a menu bar, elementary apps are designed without menu bars, and instead use the app menu, when we use global menu, it looks really funny if the app doesn't provide a menu-bar. 2. global menu has a very large usability problem on multi-monitor setups.
