[Bug 306673]

2021-06-20 Thread Andre Klapper
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version of Files (nautilus), then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/nautilus/-/issues/

[Bug 1765713] Re: Evolution on restarting for Google imap account chnage automatically receiving/ sending options to OAuth 2.0 and then it does not work

2018-06-04 Thread Andre Klapper
Make sure that Ubuntu packagers include the patch in
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution-data-server/commit/5c6b22b8eb72ccac07c7e5867aa6074347f7fd78
for https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=795997 (the patch was merged
after the release of evolution-data-server 3.28 in GNOME).
And/or, if you did not set up your Google account via "Online Accounts" in the
control center / settings but instead in Evolution directly, see
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=749974#c4

2015-12-08 Thread Andre Klapper
@Sebastian, or you could make the effort to check the feedback of Ubuntu
users in Launchpad by confirming first that it's still a problem in
3.18, before asking Ubuntu users to spend time reporting such issues
upstream. Sounds better to me than your proposal. :)

[Bug 1520726] Re: on the desktop, an icon hides another icon

2015-12-07 Thread Andre Klapper
General comment: In upstream we are not interested in bug reports about
older versions like 3.10 which are not supported anymore by upstream
developers, hence it would be great if reporters in Launchpad using such
older versions were not asked to report this bug upstream, in order to
save their time. Thanks!

2015-01-06 Thread Andre Klapper
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gedit/+bug/1095305 might be a
duplicate.

I'm wonder what the value for max.recents under
org.gnome.gedit.preferences.ui in dconf is.

The issue you are reporting is an upstream one

Upstream development happens in git master and 3.14 so upstream isn't
too interested about reports from older, unsupported versions like 3.10.
Furthermore, the UI (and the code behind) has changed a lot in 3.14 so
it would be good if someone could first reproduce the problem on 3.14.

[Bug 1167281] [NEW] stdin: is not a tty due to mesg n instead of tty -s mesg n in .profile

2013-04-10 Thread Andre Klapper
Public bug reported:

Upstreaming from https://bugzilla.wikimedia.org/show_bug.cgi?id=46913 :

This used to happen at the start of every Puppet run, because of the
line mesg n in /root/.profile. The shell provisioner is actually
invoked to fix the problem by changing it to tty -s mesg n. This
fixes the problem for every subsequent run. Still, I'd like to prevent
it from appearing even once.

Ubuntu could fix this by adding a check to .profile.

(In reply to comment #30)
It has been two years and there hasn't been an update on this.

Nothing to highlight here. Many bug reports here have not ever seen a comment

Open Source is not the developers must do my bidding. Everyone wants to
help, but no one else has any obligation to fix the bugs you want fixed.
Therefore, nobody should act as if you expect someone to fix a bug by a
particular date or release. Contributing patches normally helps, I want this
too! comments not.
