[Bug 990436] Re: Xorg with fglrx on ATI HD3650 crashes with Illegal instruction

2012-08-06 Thread Andreas Krause
You've just reproduced it, so it seems this bug is not fixed yet. Seems
to be the combination of nforce2-Motherboard and ATI video adapter.

Same here: Virgin install on N510 with RTL8192 (r8192e) WLAN chipset:
List of wireless networks seen, no association possible. Logs look the
same as in the original post.

WLAN not working is a complete blocker on N510 as of now.

[Bug 154277] Re: cups serial backend failed with Permission denied

2008-11-03 Thread Andreas Krause
Sorry we're no longer using a serial line for printing, so I'm unable to
reproduce the problem, neither I could tell it's gone.

Since nobody else seems to have had similar problems, I think this bug
can be closed.

[Bug 154277] cups serial backend failed with Permission denied

2007-10-19 Thread Andreas Krause
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: cupsys

In Gutsy Gibbon, a printer connected to the serial port /dev/ttyS0
doesn't work because of permission denied error.

$ cat /etc/cups/printers.conf

E [19/Oct/2007:11:36:15 +0200] PID 6221 (/usr/lib/cups/backend/serial) stopped

It does not seem to be a AppArmor problem but an simple permission problem:
After setting permissions of /dev/ttyS0 to 666 it works without any problem.

Already tried to put the user lp (owner of serial backend process) into
group dialout - with no success.

Any other ideas?
