[Bug 445709] Re: USB suddenly stopped working

2010-01-13 Thread Andrew_H
I have exactly this problem too. My Sony C903 mobile phone will get
detected fine for several days and then suddenly my Karmic machine just
doesn't see it. I can attach the same phone to an XP machine and all is
well so the phone is working correctly. Below is the output of lsusb -v
with the undetected Sony C903 Mobile phone attached;

[Bug 261045] [NEW] ZyDAS WLA-54L is not working under Ubuntu 2.6.24-21.40-generic

2008-08-25 Thread Andrew_H
Public bug reported:

Description:Ubuntu 8.04.1
Release:8.04
Kernel: Ubuntu 2.6.24-21.40-generic

I have a ZyDAS WLA-54L USB WIFi Adapter that has been working perfectly
under Kubuntu 8.04 until 23-08-2008 when I applied a normal update. Now
I do not see the ZyDAS adapter in Knetworkmanager at all and the adapter
is not available but the ZyDAS's led's are illuminated and if i do an
lsusb I get;

Bus 004 Device 004: ID 0ace:1215 ZyDAS WLA-54L WiFi

However if I look in dmesg I see;

[Bug 240115] [NEW] X fails to start on Averatec 3250H Laptop

2008-06-15 Thread Andrew_H
Public bug reported:

I used Wubi to install Kubuntu-KDE4 8.04 on my Averatec 3250H laptop
which has a Via CLE266 graphics chip. When I boot into Kubuntu X never
starts and I am left at the console prompt. It looks like for both vesa
and openchrome the autodetection is not finding any valid video modes
and therefore X is failing to start.

I have successfully run Kubuntu 6.10, 7.04, 7.10 on this same hardware.
