[Bug 482453] [NEW] Suspend not working on Lenovo T61, neither to RAM nor to DISK

2009-11-13 Thread Ansgar Konermann
Public bug reported:

Affects release: 9.10
uname -a: Linux eagle 2.6.31-14-generic #48-Ubuntu SMP Fri Oct 16 14:05:01 UTC
2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Suspend to disk *did* work perfectly in Ubuntu 9.04
Suspend to ram *did* work with some restrictins in Ubuntu 9.04

After a distribution upgrade to 9.10, neither suspend to disk nor
suspend to ram work any more. Both types of suspend get stuck during
suspend (moonshine LED keeps blinking, screen backlight still on, cpu
fan spinning high...)

Last entry in /var/log/messages is (somewhat reproducible):
Nov 14 01:52:13 eagle kernel: [ 1174.550132] usb 3-1: USB disconnect, address 2

[Bug 384402] Re: Sierra Wireless MC8775 fails to wakeup from suspend to ram: usb_dev_resume returns -19

2009-07-11 Thread Ansgar Konermann
Tested against: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-
ppa/mainline/v2.6.28.10/

Bug still remains with this version.

Is this the upstream version you wanted me to test against? Or rather an
even more advanced 2.6.30 kernel version? Version 2.6.28.10 was the most
current kernel release listed in the ubuntu - upstream kernel mapping
table for jaunty. Most current 2.6.31-999_2.6.31-999.1247216410 of
20090710 did not complete suspend to ram at all (freezes during suspend,
suspend LED keeps blinking)
