[Bug 1548581] Re: using wacom tablet crashes the whole system in 16.04

2016-02-25 Thread Anthony Dee
Lot's of users have issue with kernel 4.4 and wacom tablets, my wacom
freezes my Arch-linux and nothing, even kernel panic message wont get
into my journal logs, it just ok and then everything freezes, cant tty
cant nothing, you are not alone, my wacom works allright on 4.3 kernel,
so you might want to try that series or if your tablet is older, try
kernel 4.1 series. We can only hope it will be fixed in 4.5 (as many
wacom devs said it has been merged to it), I would appretiate if you
could test 4.5 rc4 ? maybe to observe the wacom behavior and report
back? I am far from my machine and if you will get freezes on 4.5rc4
kernel series and freezes continue I would try to push devs harder to
fix the driver.

---

It's not relevant but heres my output w/o plugged wacom

[Bug 1471238] Re: BCM43142 will stop working when signal is below 55%

2015-10-16 Thread Anthony Dee
Further update,

The issue remains, I didn't notice it because in Arch linux the driver
had better performance and from my AP distance I was kinda OK, however
when I have moved for a few metters the signal drops to ~55% and the
issue persisted in kernel 4.2.

It is driver issue though

[Bug 1471238] [NEW] BCM43142 will stop working when signal is below 55%

2015-07-03 Thread Anthony Dee
Public bug reported:

Lenovo ThinkPad E545

Network controller : Broadcom Corporation BCM43142 802.11b/g/n (rev 01)

If you are using this WIFI card, beware that *bcmwf-kernel-source* does perform
very badly with a newer version
of the *bcmwf-kernel-source* 6.30.223.248-bdcom-0ubuntuXX (XX I have tried them
all and all are not working)

Desripction of what is happening:

You are connnected to a network (does not matter on the router config or
router) and when you are at signal level cca 55% and less the internet
drops and you are offline (still connected but no packets get in or out)
for a long period of time (restarting card works for a few moments when
the drop occurs again)

---

*bcmwf-kernel-source* 6.30.223.141 works as it should, but I am stuck in
kernel 3.13 as I want to go kernel 3.19 and I can't because I have to
use newer bcmwf and it is unstable, very much.

[Bug 121356] Re: options usbhid mousepoll=x ignored

2015-04-20 Thread Anthony Dee
Hello,

I hope I'm not causing any annoyance but I am desperate to change my
mousepoll rate in linux mint 17.1

And I have tried alot of solution, none of them worked.

I have in
# /etc/modules: kernel modules to load at boot time.
#
# This file contains the names of kernel modules that should be loaded
# at boot time, one per line. Lines beginning with # are ignored.
# Parameters can be specified after the module name.
lp
rtc
-r usbhid
usbhid mousepoll=2

and I have created file

# /etc/modprobe.d/options
options usbhid mousepoll=2

Then I have ran

sudo update-initramfs -k all -u

rebooted and with no luck, I am still at 125mhz (my mouse is 1000mhz
capable, I had 1000mhz when running Feisty)

I would like to mention that

sudo rmmod usbhid
sudo modprobe usbhid mousepoll=2
wont change the polling rate to 500Hz

[Bug 1317108] Re: dead keys not play randomly, tildes no funcionan aleatoriamente

2015-04-07 Thread Anthony Dee
I can confirm this.

Using Linux mint 17.1 and after starting TexMaker I am not able to type
ó it results always as ´o .

If I switch windows back and forth I am able to type ó, but after moving
my text cursor with arrows the keyboard gets screwed again.

This is serious f*ck up.

HAS to be fixed, it affects other qt5 apps
