[Bug 1216006] [NEW] USB32VGAE from StarTech is not working.

2013-08-23 Thread Anthony Dodd
Public bug reported:

I recently purchased a USB32VGAE adapter from StarTech, but
unfortunately it is not working. I am using 13.04, exclusive boot on a
Lenovo ThinkPad X230. I would wager that this is simply a driver issue.
I've looked through the bug logs here on lp for a few weeks and I've
found related bug reports, though most of them are quite old at this
point.

[Bug 597488] Re: Mac air 1,1 no sound

2013-07-21 Thread Anthony Dodd
@Daniel Letzeisen: I am using 13.4 on my mba1,1, and I am experiencing
the same issue that John Dryer has described in #8. I've applied the
change to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf, and there is still no sound
through the speakers upon reboot.
