2022-05-16 Thread Anton Melser
I just installed the -proposed package and still no dice. Could someone
post (here or elsewhere) a instructions for getting this working from
scratch as of today?

[Bug 1875791] Re: network no update

2020-04-29 Thread Anton Melser
I realised this is just a lack of functionality. One appears to be
obliged to use the website to update the list. There is no detection of
new files via the "update" function. Making it much less useful.

[Bug 1875791] [NEW] network no update

2020-04-28 Thread Anton Melser
Public bug reported:

When you delete a book from the network drive in Google drive, it stays
in the list on android, even after a sync. New files are not added to
the list. There is no apparent way to update the list of files compared
to what is on the server.

Is it possible that it is necessary to unlink and relink the account at
every update?

[Bug 1688018] Re: DNS server from vpn connection is not being used after network-manager upgrade to 1.2.6

2018-07-19 Thread Anton Melser
@egor-tensin you are awesome! I think there might be a few related
problems (like https://github.com/systemd/systemd/issues/7182) but this
seems to actually work. I actually saw this bug but didn't click that
your fix would work until having wasted a huge amount of time.

Some one from Ubuntu should DEFINITELY put this in the NetworkManager
FAQ. And it should obviously be a GUI option - it is rather shameful
that we still have to generate our configs with code because the GUI is
so broken...

[Bug 1562093] Re: [Dell Inc. XPS 13 9350] hibernate/resume failure

2016-11-30 Thread Anton Melser
Not sure if this is worth anything but I have been using lubuntu 16.04
for a while now and had occasional problems with suspend. I thought I'd
give some of the other desktops a try and ended up going through a world
of pain (and many lost hours...). For starters pm-hibernate showed the
behaviour reported above and pm-suspend was far more fickle. Whatever
was being called when I just closed the laptop was causing freezing upon
attempting to get the desktop back - I tried experimenting with changing
what was in /etc/systemd/logind.conf but it didn't seem to matter (not
that I'm sure what that file does...) - hard reset was always necessary.

In any case, removing ubuntu-desktop, kubuntu-desktop and all associated
packages, then reinstalling sddm and chosing lightdm as my default DM
(not sure that last part was necessary) has everything back working how
it was before my misadventures with more "advanced" desktops...

[Bug 1579699] Re: lxlock terminates/crashes the session instead of screenlocking

2016-07-07 Thread Anton Melser
Hi,

I just wanted to report that the session crashes I was experiencing appear to
have been transitory, and I am no longer able to reproduce. If it returns I
will attempt to gather some further low-level info - I didn't confirm with
strace or anything but all of the system characteristics described above apply
to mine also.
Thanks,
Anton

[Bug 917670] [NEW] corosync consensus timeout parameter

2012-01-17 Thread Anton Melser
Public bug reported:

The affected version is fully up-to-date 10.04 server.
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=573030
This doesn't appear to be fixed in Ubuntu. I just experienced exactly the same
behaviour and the proposed fix (setting consensus to 3601) worked to fix.
