2011-06-02 Thread Ants
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: libreoffice

Every time I try to save a document in .doc or .docx format, libreoffice
writer closes and all document changes are lost.

I have tried:

1) Removing and purging Libreoffice and re-installing
2) Removing and purging Libreoffice and re-installing from the Libreoffice PPA

[Bug 750481] Re: In a double monitor setup the Unity top panel in the second screen is cut at the right

2011-05-18 Thread Ants
@franco_bez It's an ugly bug, but it's hardly a critical issue. I'm sure
this will be fixed but we just have to be patient. The fact of the
matter is that the issue has existed for over a month now, if it was a
simple issue to fix, it would be fixed by now.

[Bug 772131] [NEW] Writer and Calc take a very long time to load documents

2011-04-27 Thread Ants
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: libreoffice

When opening documents (From the File menu), in Writer it takes approx
14-15 seconds to open and will frequently dim the window. Calc also
takes 15 secs to open documents with the same dimming affect. In
Windows, with the same files, I was able to open them in 3-4 seconds. I
ran the same tests in Maverick, and I opened the documents in 4-5
seconds.

The lag seems to be in Natty.

Please find attached the files I used to test.

[Bug 768716] [NEW] error: symbol not found: 'grub_divmod64_full'

2011-04-21 Thread Ants
Public bug reported:

After the Natty update on the the 21/4/2011 (I'm in Australia), I am now
receiving this error every time I try to boot into Windows:

error: symbol not found: 'grub_divmod64_full'
error: no such device: 16DBE82A41F716A1
error: no such disk

Now I thought I was looking at a HDD failure, but when I boot into
Ubuntu, the Windows partition is mounted and can be used as normal.
Also, the UUID for my Windows partition has not changed.

To reproduce the error, I simply drag a video clip from the media
library onto the timeline.

[Bug 709090] Re: pitivi crashed with PipelineError in setState()

2011-01-28 Thread Ants
To reproduce this bug, I have created a small project (5 clips or so on
the same timeline), layered each clip over one another and pressed
play to preview the project.

The project was roughly 1 minute 30 seconds

[Bug 700923] [NEW] Option to remove Unity laucher from panel

2011-01-09 Thread Ants
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: unity

I have looked to see if this will be a feature of Unity, and I have not
seen it anywhere, so I apologise if this have already been
requested/planned.

Since installing the 11.04 alpha, I have noticed a user cannot simply
right click remove the Unity launcher.

I am requesting this be a feature so the choice is given to the user.
One of the most important things about Linux is that the user has a
choice as to what launchers/applications are to be installed/used.

[Bug 700556] [NEW] The abilty to change the date format in Empathy.

2011-01-08 Thread Ants
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: empathy

The default date and time format in Empathy is currently displayed along
the lines of:

28/12/10 19:11:06

Which is huge in a chat window (Being that the date font is now larger
as of 10.10). Could I request that an option be placed in preferences so
that users could select their own time format and possibly the font size
of the date/time?

[Bug 577661] [NEW] Complete system lockup

2010-05-08 Thread Ants
Public bug reported:

It appears to be completely random, I didn't get these lockups in
Karmic. I've made no changes to hardware. The crash just freezes
everything and it is unresponsive to SysRq+REISUB in this state.

Today is occured while editing in Gimp, yesterday while browsing (In
Chrome) and a few days ago while simply playing music in Banshee.

Any help is appreciated.
