[Bug 996205] Re: Networking stops working after resume in 12.04

2012-07-11 Thread Atif Khan
I have the exact same problem on IBM Thinkpad x201 with Intel iwlwifi
driver using open wireless N access point. It usually takes one resume
cycle for the bug to appear. The network manager shows the wifi access
point as connected. However, once this happens the laptop wireless
netwroking completely stops, can't ping anything after. The only way to
resilve this is to reboot the computer. Switching the wireless on/off
in network manager does not help, restarting the network manager does
not help.

I have also tried every kernel version (3.2.x, 3.4.x and 3.5RCx) with no
success.

[Bug 811573] Re: emacs window does not always draw properly (compositing bug?)

2011-10-11 Thread Mehmet Atif Ergun
I seem to be affected by a variation of this bug. In my case,

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1. Logged in to Ubuntu, open a text file, edit
2. Watch as, from time to time,
2a. what you just wrote is invisible
2b. the blinking cursor seem to be stuck somewhere you just moved it from
2c. characters you just deleted are still there

EXPECTED RESULTS:
Draw text in text buffer in real time (without forgetting to draw them)

KNOWN WORKAROUNDS:
Switch workspaces (e.g. if emacs is on workspace 1, switch to workspace 2, then
back to workspace 1)

System info:
* Laptop: System76 Pangolin panp7 / CLEVO
* Ubuntu 11.04
* linux kernel 2.6.38-11-generic
* graphics card: ATI Technologies Inc M92 [Mobility Radeon HD 4500 Series]
(module: radeon)
* Compiz 0.9.4.0
* unity 3.8.16

[Bug 422858] Re: Atom N280 frequency scaling not supported

2009-12-01 Thread Mehmet Atif Ergun
I've got a aod250-1613 (intel n280 + android + xp version) and this
affects me too. but is it possible that this is about the kernel rather
than cpufreqd (that's a deamon, right?)?

I did not install cpufreqd. If I echo ondemand
/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor (from arch wiki),
it freqs down. And, again without modprobing acpi_cpufreq (or after
modprobing), the max freq shows itself to be 1.33 and not 1.66.

Can that mean that there is something wrong with how the kernel reads
its info?

[Bug 223431] Re: upgrade from feisty to hardy with Xen failed

2008-04-30 Thread Muhammad Atif
Okay...
I removed the source compiled xen 3.1.0 from the system, tried it again and
upgrade went smoothly. Xen 3.2.0 is not very happy once you try to install it
on a system containing other versions of Xen.

I do not have any other system on which to replicate the bug. So i think
we can close this one with a work around.

[Bug 223431] [NEW] upgrade from feisty to hardy with Xen failed

2008-04-27 Thread Muhammad Atif
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: libxen3

While upgrading my Dell optiplex 745 from feisty to hardy using command
line, I saw the following error. I may however note that I have various
versions of Xen installed on my machine, which work well. Can it be an
issue with Xen 3.2's co-existance with previous versions?? I am not
sure...

You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these.

E: Unmet dependencies. Try using -f.

[Bug 223431] Re: upgrade from feisty to hardy with Xen failed

2008-04-27 Thread Muhammad Atif
apparantly it is due to the fact I had installed Xn 3.1.0 from source.
So conflicts are for libxen3.1.0.

[Bug 156672] Re: the new Gutsy ubuntu 7.10 upgrade does not install

2007-10-25 Thread Atif Khan
I have the same problem. I tried to upgrade from Feisty and kept on
running in similar issues. Hence I decided to do a fresh install. Please
find attached my log files as well.

 Could you contact Conrad at https://launchpad.net/~conrad-bungled to see
 how's that 1.2 series
 was not imported?

I take you wanted me to do that? I took the liberty to subscribe that
him to this report. hope it's okay -thanks.

[Bug 78885] Re: no translation template for liferea 1.2 series

2007-01-26 Thread Mehmet Atif Ergun
I was unable to upload liferea's pot file (nor liferea's tr.po file) for 1.2.
Feisty seem to use 1.2.4 [1]
So I am reopening this one.

The upstream bug was added to track the release of Turkish translation
in upstream.
