Looks like removing System Load Indicator solved the problem for me...

[Bug 314928] Re: [i915GM] MTRR entry gets removed when restarting xorg - causes corruption on ttys

2009-06-10 Thread Azarashi
lspci -vvnn:
Region 2: Memory at e000 (64-bit, prefetchable) [size=256M]

cat /proc/mtrr:
reg01: base=0x0e000 ( 3584MB), size= 512MB, count=1: uncachable

/proc/mtrr already has the region but it is not write-combining. Is
there any way to reset it or everything is fine and I shouldn't do
anything?

[Bug 152206] Re: Intel 965G (GMA X3000) - Video Tearing Effect Poor Performance

2008-11-07 Thread Azarashi
I have a similar video tearing effect with Intel 945GM in 8.10. Actually I
think it always (since 7.04) was like this with x11, but xv was fine. Now x11
and xv seem like the same thing. Also I can't change Contrast and Saturation,
only Brightness. I tried to put the following lines to Xorg.conf:
Section Device
Identifier Configured Video Device
Option AccelMethod exa
Option MigrationHeuristic greedy
Option ExaNoComposite false
Option TexturedVideo false
EndSection

But I have (WW) intel(0): Option TexturedVideo is not used in log file.
I don't need compiz, just how can I get xv to work like it was in 8.04?
