[Bug 2066383] [NEW] PlayOnLinux: include mandatory dependency

2024-05-22 Thread Rodrigo Bertoldo de Sousa Martins
Public bug reported:

PlayOnLinux requires asyncore from python3 to work. The deb package
doesn't include this depend, so to fix this bug is necessary to include
python3-pyasyncore in mandatory dependency to get working without
issues.

Without this package, the playonlinux doesn't work:

rodrigo@rodrigo:~/Downloads$ playonlinux

The python3 asyncore module installation solves this issue.

[Bug 417428] Re: No HDMI Audio with Intel HDAudio

2010-05-15 Thread Bertoldo Fonseca
I'm trying to use my wife's laptop to watch movies and TV Shows on my LCD TV.
I'm using a fresh install of Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx.
My wife always used the Windows Vista (came with laptop) to watch videos, but
the Windows Vista was not handling well (performance issues) the high
definition videos. So I convinced her to make a dual boot on laptop using
Ubuntu.

Laptop is D'ell Inspiron 1525 laptop and the TV is a Samsung LCD TV 26.

There is no audio when I plug the HDMI cable. I have tried a bunch of
attempts to configure the audio output (searching on Google), but none
of it works. Even when I try to run 'speaker-test' there is no audio at
all.

I'm very pleased if someone can help to figure out what is wrong.

Follow the output of my configuration:

[Bug 311781] Re: Ricoh 5 in 1 card reader not working on Ubuntu 8.10 / 9.04

2009-11-19 Thread Bertoldo
Hi Scott,

I tried this:
sudo setpci -s 07:05.2 0xCA=0x57
sudo setpci -s 07:05.2 0xCB=0x02
sudo setpci -s 07:05.2 0xCA=0x00

But didn't work. I read both, the post you sent me and the blog linked
in the post, twice to ensure that I did everything correct.

This kind of problem is a shame, in my opinion. Now that I get free from
windows on my laptop I find a issue like this one. I'm not able to get
my pictures of my camera in a easy way.

Anyway, thanks for your help.
