[Bug 1057000] Re: [Ubuntu 12.04.1/12.10] nVidia drivers 304.51 prevent autohidden Unity launcher from revealing

2012-10-06 Thread Bill Yiannakos
I also confirm that the workaround in #37 works! The correct option is

Option ConstrainCursor no

...and not...

Option ConstrainCursor no

(it also needs a before the Constrain )

[Bug 667508] Re: Shift+Del and replace files crashes/hangs NE

2011-01-07 Thread Bill Yiannakos
In my case the problem was vineyard: on every shift + del or replacement
of file nautilus called a script of vineyard, which produced an error
and nautilus hanged. I uninstalled vineyard and the problem is resolved.

[Bug 123441] Re: Scanner CanoScan 8600F not detected

2010-09-16 Thread Bill Yiannakos
Tested everything from scratch, after upgrading to Ubuntu 10.04. Bug
still insists, scanner is found by sane-find-scanner but it is not
supported by sane backends.

1. Output of sane-find-scanner:
found USB scanner (vendor=0x04a9, product=0x2229, chip=GL843?) at libusb:002:005

2. Output of scanimage-L:
o scanners were identified. If you were expecting something different,
check that the scanner is plugged in, turned on and detected by the
sane-find-scanner tool (if appropriate). Please read the documentation
which came with this software (README, FAQ, manpages).

** Changed in: sane-frontends (Ubuntu)

[Bug 523269] Re: Local collection empty

2010-07-14 Thread Bill Yiannakos
The same here: just upgraded from Ubuntu 9.10 to 10.04 and from Amarok
1.1.4 to 2.3 and also had this issue. It was resolved by installing
mysql-server-core-5.1, as mentioned on a comment above

2009-12-08 Thread Bill Yiannakos
This happens to me too, occasionally (sometimes videos / mp3 play fine, some
others I get this message). When this bug happens, the same streams play well
in vlc!
I'm running 9.10 32bit on an AMD Athlon 64 x2 @ 5200+
