[Bug 578028] Re: Ubuntu 10.04 blank screen on boot
I had a similar problem, but the screen was not completely blank. I could see that the OS tried to tell me something but it was only pixels in size repeated 4 times. Removing vga=769 from grub (pressing e) solved the problem. It turned out to be fstab telling me that it couldn't mount a volume waiting for a responce... -- Ubuntu 10.04 blank screen on boot https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/578028 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 187383] Re: System monitor causes Xorg to consume 100% CPU
I can see that a fix has been comitted for Ubuntu, but in which version is it included? 2.24.1? I have the same problem in Jaunty using version 2.24.1. I used to have the ATI driver, but it made the complete system too slow. When I turned off the ATI driver the system is usable. With both drivers the CPU usage is going to 100% when displaying the resources tab in the System Monitor. -- System monitor causes Xorg to consume 100% CPU https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/187383 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
