[Bug 1853199] Re: Ctrl + c (copy) anywhere some times crashes gnome session

2020-02-19 Thread Boris Rybalkin
apport information

** Tags added: apport-collected

** Description changed:

Copy text anwyhere (browser, terminal) crashes user session and shows login
screen.
It may take few login attempts to actually login back.

I have HDMI Tv attached to a Shuttle pc with Intel graphics. Box is
always ON but tv is ON amd OFF as needed. Every time I turn tv ON and
try to do something and use ctrl + c it would restart gnome session.
After login it seem to work fine and ctrl+c does not break anything.
Then the next day the similar thing happens.

[Bug 520546] Re: Alt-f2 switches to virtual terminal 2

2018-08-22 Thread Boris Rybalkin
Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS

console-cyrillic is not installed.

console-setup 1.178ubuntu2.6
keyboard-configuration 1.178ubuntu2.6

"sudo kbd_mode -s" fixes it for some time.

[Bug 1655431] Re: apt-helper / update-notifier / ttf-mscorefonts-installer download failure (regression)

2017-11-26 Thread Boris Rybalkin
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1651923 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1651923

Was able to fix sf mirrors issue by replacing sf mirror with some github
copy:

sudo sed -i
's#http://downloads.sourceforge.net/corefonts#https://github.com/pushcx/corefonts/raw/master#g'
/usr/share/package-data-downloads/ttf-mscorefonts-installer

Then run:
sudo /usr/lib/update-notifier/package-data-downloader

All downloaded and good.

[Bug 836250] Re: [Oneiric] Intel Corporation Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 poor networking, packet loss and very slow Lenovo X201 and T500 laptops

2011-10-06 Thread Boris Rybalkin
Wifi is very slow, but ethernet is OK.

Upload:
wifi: ~30 KiB/s
ethernet: ~400 KiB/s

Tried Kubuntu 10.04 Live CD - wifi speed is good.

I am ready to do any testing as this is my wife's laptop and she wants
to switch back to slow Vista :)
