I ran the alsa mixer, muted the external and put all the soundchannels up to max, green. Still no sound. A slight difference between our soundboards perhaps? I don't have the CH/CAM I have the CA/ICH3? Public bug reported: Installed Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala, on my IBM Thinkpad T30, and I get no sound. When I attach headphones to the headphone outport jack, they work as a microphone! No sound whatsoever. Sorry, I'm a newbie so I don't know what else to inform you about. I think the machine has a combined audio and modem card. I82801CAICH3 card. Hope someone can help me. I'm so fed up with Microsoft.
