[Bug 1341944] Re: 32-Bit UEFI bootloader support needed

2016-03-04 Thread Brian Johnson
This also affects the Nextbook Flexx 11.6" tablet. I'm able to boot
Ubuntu Studio 15.10 from USB, after adding a 32-bit grub executable. I
can then install to a MicroSD card in the external slot, but the final
installation or update of grub fails, and the result isn't bootable.
Still trying to figure out how to properly install 32-bit grub on the
MicroSD... no luck yet.

[Bug 1344535]

2014-10-11 Thread Brian Johnson
I second Forest's comments. The right click edits launchers feature
breaks the right-button behavior I've relied on for years. I'd greatly
appreciate it if this feature were removed, or some method were provided
to disable it. A gui-less item in the settings editor would be
sufficient.

Other than this, the changes in XFCE 4.10 (as shipped in XUbuntu 14.04)
are great: it's a complete, reliable, easy-to-use desktop UI. Keep up
the good work!

[Bug 87054] Re: [Needs Packaging] Microdia SN9C201 webcam driver

2009-07-19 Thread Brian Johnson
Ok good news support for sn9c20x webcams should be coming to the kernel
soon. I have recently rewrote the out of tree microdia driver to use the
kernel's gspca framework and this code is already in the main v4l-dvb
repositories. It should make it into the 2.6.31 kernel as well meaning
karmic should support many of these webcams.
