[Bug 1250003] bug 1250003: Failure to install Post fix
Very many thanks for reply. Herewith screenshot of the result. Your remedy was successful. And I learned a command that may well be of great value in future Please note that when I successfully reconfigured Postfix, I had little idea of what information to supply to answer the questions but I will study the manuals etc. in my own time and edit as appropriate. For info, currently I read and write emails from the website/Firefox so there is no panic. As regards what happened previously, I got the first screen but there was no way to make a selection or to press OK. Regards and thanks again Brian Slinger /home/brian/Desktop/Screenshot-postfix -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to postfix in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1250003 Title: Failure when trying to install MUTT To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/postfix/+bug/1250003/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1250003] [NEW] Failure when trying to install MUTT
Public bug reported: I tried to install MUTT from Software Centre. The installation procedure opened a messagebox which asked how I wanted to configure POSTFIX but the box was dead (possibly my ignorance was at fault). I could not TAB through the options nor could I TAB to the OK option. I am using Ubunto 13.10, downloaded from your website (I have no wat to know if the website forwarded the request to a mirror) ProblemType: Package DistroRelease: Ubuntu 13.10 Package: postfix (not installed) ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.11.0-12.19-generic 3.11.3 Uname: Linux 3.11.0-12-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: fglrx ApportVersion: 2.12.5-0ubuntu2.1 AptOrdering: postfix: Install postfix: Configure Architecture: amd64 Date: Sun Nov 10 08:26:15 2013 ErrorMessage: subprocess new pre-installation script returned error exit status 5 InstallationDate: Installed on 2013-10-18 (23 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 13.10 Saucy Salamander - Release amd64 (20131016.1) MarkForUpload: True SourcePackage: postfix Title: package postfix (not installed) failed to install/upgrade: subprocess new pre-installation script returned error exit status 5 UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: postfix (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-package saucy -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to postfix in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1250003 Title: Failure when trying to install MUTT To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/postfix/+bug/1250003/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 995928] [NEW] failure to show boot menu
Public bug reported: 32 bit Ubuntu 1204LTS. I have triple boot with Vista and Debian 6. I expect to be given the choice of which to open but the boot menu screen is not displayed. Instead i get an error message to the effect that the computer does not support that display mode and instructs me to change to 1282X1024X60Hzs. This problem has occured with other distros and was overcome by changing a default. I cannot see a suitable file to edit ** Affects: installation-guide (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/995928 Title: failure to show boot menu To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/installation-guide/+bug/995928/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 103019] Re: [feisty, beta] Invalid parameters on recording sound with Sound recorder (gnome-sourd-recorder)
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 92879 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/92879 Using Sound Capture, I can record streaming internet sounds in FLAC and WAV formats and save using save as. I can play back both satisfactorily. OGG gives a problem in that playback is accelerated to the extent that it is unintelligabe in every player I try. I can play back OGG files of ripped cd music. BTW I have a variant of the fault noted by Amol Karmarkar and JakeG; in my case, it always tries to switch to MIX -- [feisty, beta] Invalid parameters on recording sound with Sound recorder (gnome-sourd-recorder) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/103019 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
