[Bug 1875842] [NEW] "UEFI Firmware Settings" set as default item in Grub menu

2020-04-29 Thread Brylie Christopher Oxley
Public bug reported:

After upgrading from Kubuntu 19.10 to 20.04, my GRUB menu includes a
"UEFI Firmware Settings" entry. The problem is, the "UEFI Firmware
Settings" entry is set as the default boot option. This is inconvenient,
as most users would probably not want to configure their UEFI firmware
settings very often or at all.

I was able to resolve this issue with the following instructions:
https://askubuntu.com/questions/100232/how-do-i-change-the-grub-boot-order/110738#110738

However, running shell commands and editing system configuration text
files should not be required as part of the default Ubuntu experience
:-)

I just installed digiKam 4.2.0 on Edubuntu 14.10. The plugin is enabled
in preferences, but still does not show up in the export menu.

What distribution were you using when you tried to reproduce? How had
you installed digiKam 4.2.0?

I have this issue when generating GPG keys on a remote server. It seems
like generating GPG keys on remote web servers is a relatively common
use case, and might deserve another look by the GPG developers.

[Bug 1255507] Re: Running unclutter without -noevent causes focus problems for Firefox and Thunderbird

2014-04-21 Thread Brylie Christopher Oxley
I was experiencing this issue on OSGeo Live, which uses Xubuntu.

I have followed instructions and set the unclutter settings as follows:
```
EXTRA_OPTS=-idle 2 -root -noevents
```

Running the following command resolved the issue:
```
unclutter -idle 2 -root -noevents
disown -h
```
